I'm an Atheist. Why should I believe in a god? Which god? and why?

I'm considering god, but need a rational reason to actually believe. I would never take blind faith, as you could end up in any religion just dependant on the influence around you.

1. You shouldn't "believe" anything. Belief is only required with something where there is a lack of evidence/facts and faith is required. This is not the case with the existence of God. Would you suggest that trees are alive and wiggle their leaves or would you say that an unseen force moves them? (wind)

2. Religion is a man made creation designed to hide truth and control you. Avoid it.

3. Going back to point 1 ; there is VERY LITTLE knowledge/facts that are unavailable these days. Everything is literally at your finger tips. The problem is sorting through all the BS to put the real picture together of what's going on. This is the difficult part.

4.You can find God through many different routes. I think everyones journey if they choose to take it is different but if you have an open heart and mind and seek earnestly you will find the answers.

My personal journey was to figure out who the "greys" were; not to "find God" which is how it ended. That lead me on a 20 year quest that required me to throw out every idea and belief I had (over time) and wrap my mind around some really incredible information. You'll end up studying ancient history, theoretical physics and on and on. Or if you don't want to put in the work then just go with faith and the information and understanding will come along the way.
