This guy didnt give any sources or info that could be verified. On top of that he said the chinese communist think that the worst thing you can do is be a traitor to ones country, yet china has millions of people leave every year with immigration to western countries. Many people just dismiss it as just another Sci Fi show that was out there at one point.

But the politics woven into its story line, are hauntingly similar to what is happening now.

Particularly the storyline centered around the President of the Earth Government, and how he uses the power of his Office to force his own legislation through; and eventually creates a whole new "department" that puts the Military under his direct control... Anyone in the military who defied him was labeled a traitor to Earth... and he had the so-called Main Stream Media on his side...

Key here though is that the military was under his control, but the rule of law maintained that he was not in command... so what he did was illegal, based on the rule of law and military's own chain of command...

This eventually led to an all out Civil War that spread across several planetary systems under Earth's control, with various military leaders being forced to make the difficult personal choice of choosing sides in the War... until eventually it was carried all the way to Earth itself...

One of the biggest plots involved with this war centered on a political movement on the Mars Colony to gain independence from the Earth Government whom this movement saw as gaining too much tyrannical power and the Government's efforts to 'disarm Mars'... until finally the President orders the Military to open fire on Mars Colony and its civilians...

Mars eventually played a key roll in liberating Earth from that tyranny... and won its independence...

Kinda weird that the station ID on the wall behind the newscaster reads WHDT (Channel 9) and the CGI graphic identifying him reads WHDN. I'm far from a shill on this issue, but I just gotta say what I see. It reads Boston, but I'm finding Miami in some searches and... well, y'all figure it out. I've made my contribution and I've got shit to do. There may be a good explanation for the discrepencies... and I'm no fan of what's going on in the US right now, but ya know... just trying to keep it real. An open mind is your friend.

Do some fucking web searches on this shit before pulling the trigger. Saves us all a lot of time. You could be right about things, but the knee-jerk reactions, gullibility, get old for us who know how to check facts a little bit. They should teach that in school.
