BREAKING: 5.0 Italy, depth 10km

An earthquake has shaken parts of northern Italy, residents said.

The US Geological Survey said the magnitude-five quake struck at a depth of three miles (5 km), 37 miles (60km) south-east of Parma.

The tremor was felt as far away as Milan and Florence, Italian media say. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

Italy is prone to earthquakes. In 2009 almost 300 people died in a quake in L'Aquila in the central Abruzzo region

Felt in Florence, Milan, Bologna. It's all ok.

It´s shown as 5km depth on IRIS.
That´s less then 3 miles.
