I'm agreeing with what you say about the characteristics of the antichrist, one world ruler.
Am puzzling over the 9th characteristic: Rev 17:14... please explain how you get out of this verse that this will be a socialistic/communistic system? Of course it will be, but this verse just doesn't say that for me. Do explain.
I had never noticed in Rev 17:8 that he was, is and will come.... very good... had never really thought about that...had read it hundreds of times, but was concentrating on other things. Very good
Please explain about Rev 17;14-- to me that verse just means that all these powerful nations will turn on Jesus when He returns and His holy ones --an incredible verse showing how when they see Him coming, they will try to kill Him... again! I don't see anything political there---can't see the socialism or communism. Of course, all tyrants have always been "progressive" (communistic/marxist in idealogy) and of course the antichrist will be, but that verse doesn't say that to me
Quoting: Salt P.S. me again: on Rev 17: 8 "that HE WAS and IS NOT and WILL COME" and again Rev 17:11 "and the beast which WAS and IS NOT" I have always assumed that was referring to the fatal head wound ...therefore HE WAS (he was alive) and IS NOT (then he temporarily died from his head wound) and then WILL COME back to life from his fatal head wound. of course that could fit your statement that he will rule, be removed from power (because of the head wound), then resume power and rise back up. i think the rev 17:8 refers to stints of power, but it could be more. my understanding is it refers to times of power position. i think the scripture regarding communism is an error/typo. i am looking at it now.
