to me that looks like a tiny hole in the lens, probably caused by a speck of dust or a micrometeorite hitting the lens, a bit similar to the pattern a bullet hitting glass makes

The date might seem like a distractor once you have the correct answer, but I put it out there to help you narrow down the possible sources. Have fun. To obtain better angular resolution, some radio telescopes comprise arrays of dishes spread over a large area so the resolution corresponds to the size of the array rather than the size of the individual dishes (Fig 2). I have yet to see a full and correct answer. I'm not just asking what the phenomenon is, but the proper name of what is specifically causing it in this particular case. That requires more digging to confirm.
