U Huuuuuuu This is for the ENGLISH poster this morning looking for a reason to live!!!

I understand the reasoning; I have seen horribly cruel things said to such posters and cringe to think they may have been pushed over the edge by something they read here when most everyone else is trying to comfort them.

BUT is it possible that perhaps mods &/or people they ask to help could respond to the distraught person after taking down the thread? For whatever it is worth, at least an effort would have been made.

I was thinking that too .. but Lisa Lisa has her prayer request thread. Maybe that should be permanently pinned.

Although than the others would cry out that the "religitards" are getting preferential treatment.

Please know there are those who care and understand. I know something of how you feel. Those who have never experienced bad depression might not understand how desperate you can feel. When you feel like that, it is hard to think clearly and logically. Like a dark, thick, cloudy fog descends on your mind, on your very spirit.

Sometimes, I have a strong feeling that there's a greater picture. It's as if we're trying to travel along a wild river with dangerous torrents, and thinking that this is all there is. But then rising high up in the sky and looking down on this long winding river. Seeing where the torrents end, and a calm begins. And then seeing more torrents and more calms. But most importantly seeing where the river is going and understanding why, and it all making sense. I feel right now we simply, for whatever reason, don't (consciously, at least) have the whole picture.

A bit like, when you have formed a negative opinion about something or someone, and then more information comes along and you gain a deeper understanding and realise what you previously thought was not really how it is because it was based on a limited understanding.

So I think maybe that is how it is about life. And this can bring me a little hope in those dark moments. I hope this helps a little. If not, try to find comfort in knowing you are not alone in those dark momnts, and that others who truly care are thinking of you, like I do you now.

AngelicWarrior - your heart is in the right place and that's commendable.

As one poster said - rarely do people reach out for help when they're really going to take their life.
When they're thinking of it they do - because they're looking for evidence that will change their mind...and as you've so graciously proven - being there, showing kindness and caring - to a complete stranger - strengthens the weakest of hearts.

I hope the original poster has seen this thread.

I do understand why they are removed. It's a very helpless feeling for those who care about the poster. I always wince when I see a post like that come up because I know, just as there are kind people such as yourself here, there are also that many bored little trolls roaming around.

My step son commited suicide 6 years ago.. I am hyper sensitive to this situation.
