How many of you drastically lowered your standards with a mate just so you wont be alone in old age?

My standards couldn't be any lower. There's landwhales out there giving me a hard time.

Nope, women can detect lack of confidence and will exploit it to their advantage. Fuck em and leave em even if deception is necessary. It's not like they are decent human being anyway.

Would you rather be alone? Or would you rather be with someone that you are not that crazy about?

Screw appearances. The ugliness on the inside is overwhelming and a lot of them don't bother hiding it.

I'd rather be alone than live under the same roof with a man who drove me crazy. Fuck that. I like what little bit of sanity I've got left even if it's not much,lol.

I'm sure there are women out there that have lowered their expectations as well.

I have done this until I realized I actually don't give a damn about being alone.
It was the society/media who tried to tell me, only if I mate I'd be a whole human being.
Well, I listened deep inside me and figured that I'm one of that guys who get along better being alone. And there's nothing wrong with it. SOme of us just are that way.

BTW, here's a video of a guy who probably lived most of his life alone; and he's able to handle a life in the wilderness and lives self-sufficient at the age of 81.
How many guys that have been married or been chasing women all of their lifes are even alive at that age?



Also, have you ever wondered why monks get so old although they don't - and aren't even allowed to - mate?

Look for someone who really cares for you. Not someone your obsessed with over their looks.

I have no problem being alone and have been since 1986. Fuck people, their nothing but trouble and I like being alone.

It's not all about looks. Yes looks do play a certain role but then there is hygiene, smarts, type of conversations, similar interest, and how someone carries themselves. Some of these actually would fit into the looks category. But there is more to what people like to look into a mate more than looks.

Oh, I'm talking about personality.

Did you ever watch The Entourage? In my neck of the woods, both the supermodels and plain janes act like that.

I forgot about "standards" as I eventually realised applying my stupid filters just made me look like a judgmental prick to women.

I focused on meeting a few of my own standards and being a better person - suddenly I had my pick of the fish and married a woman who exceeded my expectations in every way.

Stop focusing your judgments on others and instead do some self work. Make yourself attractive to the women you want with some hard work and honest introspection.

I don't have 'filters' such as this woman has to be this or that. Could you date a person who practiced less hygiene than you? How about someone with 3 kids while you have none? What about someone that cannot talk about anything other than American Idol. Do you see where I'm going? It's not about 'filters'. If YOU couldn't date these women then you aren't practicing what you preach.

Wow, glad I'm in Australia if the only available women in the US have three kids, dirty bodies and dull minds. Maybe you should try going to different places to meet women? Like, Europe?

Find someone your own age who can be a friend and companion.

Forget the looks thing. After 60, everyone except the plastic surgery addicts starts to look like hell one way or another and has some physical problems. Even the plastic surgery addicts look really wierd with their overly done lips and botox stares.

Then there are the pathetic ones. The ones who try to dress and act 30 years younger. You know the men who used to pride themselves on being players and studly and the women who used to strut around like beauty queens and now just strut around with too much make-up and pruned up skin from too much tanning.

Most of those beauty queens - both men and women -- are not aging well or gracefully.

After a certain age, you should be looking beyond appearances and waistlines and into character.
