9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[f] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13 If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Again I ask what did you pray to God for today?

You see holier than thou; I prayed about an hour before 2:00 PM EST to God in Jesus name that all praying and meditating for KINDNESS realize this is the NATURE of Jesus Christ and may that NATURE allow;

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Either you would like to participate or not. You are not doing any duty as a Christian. You are being annoying.

I am certain that every single person who participated in this holds belief in God, the Creator.


Your preachings are not pertinent to what this thread is about, and your goal of getting people to repent and turn to Christ is backfiring. Instead, people see your posts and think all Christians must be annoying and push their religious views on others. I invite you to take part, but please stop with your ravings.

I am a Christian, and I am extremely well-educated on the Gospel and teachings of Jesus Christ, both academically and personally. I agree that all of us need to atone for our sins and ask God for forgiveness. But, that is not the purpose for this meditation and consciousness experiment.

Also, I hope that we can all come up with a name for this event. Consciousness experiment is a misnomer, because I believe this not to be an experiment, but a practice, an exhibition of sorts.

It is a meditation, a unified, consciousness awareness event.

Perhaps a better wordsmith than I will forge a title for our group.

I do expect quite a number of others to pop in and share their experiences...I do know at least a few people who stated their intention to take part, but that they would be away from the computer at the time of our linked conscious "experiment" and I am eager to hear what they experienced!

Love comes in various forms. We are one regardless of our beliefs.

Hey Sonic Dreamer - I wanted to tell you what happened today. I was at the gas station at 12:00 - my time to be thinking about this thread. And I was doing just that when a girl of about 16 came up to me selling boxes of candy for something called Teens with Dreams. Trying to earn points to win a laptop. I just smiled to myself because of the TIMING! And I explained that I am somewhat of a health food nut and wouldn't take the candy but gave her a donation. She was just so happy, saying it made her day.

Yes I would have helped her anyway, but I don't know, the timing just made it feel all so connected to your beautiful effort to encourage kindness.

i imagined/felt a connection to the OP, which made me smile. generally a nice 5 minutes, though i confess to being a minute late!

OP- before we began, you wrote the word KINDNESS in your post. This word is what I saw in my mind's eye (a very good focus point for me). I meditated a bit longer than 5 minutes.

The sensation of energy lifting up from the top of my head/my scalp was one of the first things I experienced so I know I was 'sending' thoughts of kindness out into the ether.

Staying in this meditative state, allowed me to receive images as well- unfortunately they were not ones of kindness, but in need of kindness- I did my best to direct my thoughts to those that presented.

Afterwards I felt a wee bit drained, but good- more peaceful.

I will participate again- the mind is such a powerful thing, and the more who join and are of 'one mind/ one focus' the greater the results, I think.

You've done a great service by starting this here.

Do the meditation now, and you wont have missed anything.

Whether people do this type of group-focusing all at the same time, or at times that best suits themselves makes no difference IMO; the resulting thought energy is always there and is always accessible.

Also, to all who took part or are considering taking part in the next event, three questions:

A. Should we keep the same time? 2pm EST on Sunday, February 3rd?

B. What should be the topic for the next conscious meditation? Optimism/Hope is my idea, what is yours?

C. What shall we name this event? The Consciousness Experiment seems OK, but not spectacular...Because this is not an experiment, it has results for sure!

My intention is not to disrupt your thread, however there are a lot of people
On GLP that are under many superstitions and delusions about salvation and being led away from the gospel by unknown spirits instead of being led to GOD by the Holy Spirit.

If people do not feel a need to atone for there sins and think they can be transformed by positive thinking and meditation , but wearing the covering of sins..GOD will never hear them....

Again I believe you are trying to do something good, however leading people to being kind without leading people to the truth is setting them up for failure....

That is all I will say on this, and again I did not mean to hurt you or anyone else here who is on this thread.....

Woke up Sunday morning with full intention of participating
but began to feel ill and went back to bed.
I suddenly awoke out of a sound sleep feeling energized
and positive, looked at the clock.... it was 2:06 pm. eastern

Just dropping by to say that my droid alarm now goes off each day at 1:55 and 2 pm EST for what I have labeled "Loving-Kindness Meditation."

After four days of this, I find myself in this frame of thought much more often than just at 2 pm, now amplifying the calm and hope-filled feelings of peace and love that is my usual comportment. Positive energy and balance...
