But police said no one should fret if they didn't make it to Saturday's buy-back because another is planned for the near future. A huge crowd of hundreds of people flocked to the special buy-back program, creating a traffic jam in downtown Seattle as they made their way to the drop-off site under Interstate 5. KOMO News reporter Mark Miller, at the scene, said several hundred gun owners showed up to turn in their weapons and receive gift certificates in return. The massive turnout clogged traffic on Sixth Avenue and on an I-5 off-ramp leading to the buy-back area, located in a parking lot underneath the freeway between James and Cherry streets. -I'm disappointed. I know Seattle region is known for liberal earth loving, democratic and socialist mined people. But still, I always thought we loved our guns. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

BRIEF User ID: 32991702 United States 01/26/2013 04:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | They did that here, so my brother and his friends bought up as many old Mosin 7.62 rifles as they could find for $99 a piece and sold them for $200/each... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

Quoting: BRIEF Actually, reading this local story on [link to www.king5.com] Turns out a several dozen people turned up offering CASH for the guns. Mostly in protest of shorts. I think all the people that turned in guns must live right in downtown Seattle. This region is thick with a hunting population and I know a lot of people with a CCW. You get just a few miles (40 miles) away from Seattle/Tacoma area, and your in redneck country, even further and your in Hillbilly country. Also, Tacoma is a large city just 25 miles down I-5, we love our guns. Gun shops and liquor stores in every neighborhood. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

I never thought of that. All the gun owners I know, don't have junk guns. We all take care of them, even get them repaired if need be. -Everything's more awesome when you lean into it. |

He said it had already been used and could not do any harm. Mason Vranish said he bought it from a man for $100, but within seconds police took it off his hands. “Their reason was even though it was single time use item it is still military property concern that a soldier had stolen it from the base or whatever and it wasn't theirs to own... so it somehow ended up in the civilian market illegally,” said Vranish. -police are good at disinformation. Turns out a gift card was still issued to the man. The rocket launcher looked old. But it was not a relic. The video on the link is a good watch. Wish I could embed it. As it is a great watch.
