Pretty cool huh? I had a similar spiritual experience, no pink light though, only blinding "not"-light. Most terrifying experience ever, that "light" is so holy and set apart. You instantly know why and how you are so unworthy to be in that presence. But, then the most interesting thing happens, it reaches out with this light that is not light and envelops you, becoming you. You instantly know a love beyond understanding and forgiveness, you are yet you are not.
Go for it, read it, its a good book. This really happened to him, he wrote several books up until he died about it. Learn and explore, what else is there?
