could freedom be real?

I found it strange that a thread with the word Freedom in it received no replies except for your own. Is freedom real? I think we both know the answer. I love and appreciate your thoughtfulness! People in general seem to avoid be, must be the way I rub?  Has freedom already lost, because it is foolishly fighting it's battle on the grounds of technology?
Did freedom have any other choice?
When was the last time it was free from its grasp?
