Looking at the video, I feel their souls are still there. I hope a spiritual guild takes the time to help them. Wandering, confused souls are saddening.

But seriously. It is time to have a serious discussion about this. This happens far to often, it is time to take a stand for what is right. We need to ban nightclubs.

It was started in the stairway to which the emergency exit faces. Because of this, the emergency exit was not usable, making a single stairway the only route available for escape. Many youths jumped out the windows, but since the windows were 2.2 metres (7.2 ft) from the floor as well as 5 metres (16 ft) from the ground level this was difficult. The fire safety was generally poor on the site.

I would work on the laws and regulations for fire safety.
Also since it's students-age of the victims, the schools and universities MUST talk to kids about fire safety as kids always hold or attend various parties. It should a topic put up on the school program.

This reminds me of the Station nightclub fire, where at least 100 people died. May the victims RIP, hopefully better regulations will result. My co-forum members, when you are out and about always make sure to scan the place for fire exits, and have a plan already mapped out in case of disaster. It could possibly save your life in a bad event - or keep you out of an unsafe establishment.

OMG, WHY? They should be held accountable! On who's order? And did the security guards survive?

Such a sad sight that nightclub now. Reminds me of the 'Khromaya Loshad' fire in Russia with around a hundred persons perishing as well. Seems fire security is lax around the world these days.

If it was a packed nightclub and according to reports, it was at its maximum capacity which was over 1k people.

I've heard they were making people pay their bills before leaving. If this is true it is very messed up indeed.

That's horrible.. must've been terrifying. There should be a global agreement by governments to allow Chief Fire Officers to 'enforce' safety in public places like nightclubs & bars, where the local Fire Investigators have the power to close down places if they think they don't come up to scratch.

Ok time for brazil to ban night clubs.
