White flight: British families 'self-segregating' as whites abandon urban areas for countryside

Yup, I live in the London borough of Redbridge and I'm seeing it firsthand. I work in a school. In the last five or six years there's been a dramatic change in the make up of the school. In a classroom of 30, there are now around 5-7 white kids, the rest all Indian. When it's Eid, three quarters of each class will be away. There has been a huge increase in the number of kids on free school dinners- that's always a bad sign as of course it's people on welfare (benefits, as they say here.) These families almost all have between three to six children on average. It's predominatley immigrants but there is also a rise in homegrown white "spongers".

When you talk to people who have been raised in this area, a lot want to leave and hope to do so when they retire. When asked why, they say areas they've grown up in have totally changed. Areas that were once clean, attractive and with low crime rates are now run down, litter all over and crime has dramatically risen. Overcrowding is an issue. There are halal shops and kebab shops everywhere. They don't recognize their communities anymore.

My school and another school close by are now building on extenstions as we speak as the student population has risen so much.
We'd like to leave too, but as with everyone else, you're tied because of jobs, etc.
