Watching MSNBC right now: prescription drug users to require out of pocket for every purchase | |
| Professor Xavier User ID: 33127293 01/27/2013 04:24 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I just read the post about aiming not to be on prescription medications. How do I maintain my transplanted kidney (due to genetic kidney disease, not alcohol or drugs,) without my anti-rejection medications? Huh? I worked and paid taxes in this country (also working for the US Government, Postal Service many years.) I guess it's good-bye Grandma, right? I had my 61st birthday less than a month ago..I'm expendable, right? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33090208 Who did you vote for in 2008 and 2012? McCain (2004) Obama (2008) Romney (2012) Believe me, I fealt quite like a dufus for the last 4 years. :( So the truth is you voted for a socialist, racist muzzie in 2008, and now you are reaping that hope and change. What did you expect, free gas, free rent, free phone, free car, free money, free food, free drugs? How did that work out for you?? Fckin' BINGO DF! |

Probably 95% of these drugs are not necessary and end up doing MUCH more harm than good. I could give countless examples, as many others here could, as well... For-profit healthcare is among the USA's greatest jokes and evils. Marketers make the sheeple believe it's the world's best thing since the wheel's invention... Let's assume your 95% statistic is correct (which it isn't). How do you propose socialism motivates people to develop that 5%? With a socialistic system, the main goal would be to keep people well so they wouldn't need so damn much healthcare. Preventative meds and ones that really work would be developed and used. In the USA, meds often cause a multitude of side-effects that require more meds and more $$$$ into that for-profit system. Do you actually believe that a CEO, whose main goal is making more money, wants to see you with good health? Please, prof X - it's reality time. Granted, well run socialistic systems are very rare, but even the worst of them can beat the USA, which is why more and more people go abroad for care... |

Avoid that shit if you can. If not insist on time tested meds. They are cheaper anway so maybe your OOP would be less. Avoid the 'drug du jour' at all costs. |
