I can confirm the BassPro backorders. Just called and tried to order 9mm and .22lr and was told 4-6 months on .22 and depending on the brand 9-12 on 9mm.

Walmart isn't a shocker they have been out for months.

If you sold a product, any product, that sold so well you couldn't keep it on the shelf;

I have not found one single place on line or in person that has ammo. Nothing but 16 gauge birdshot.

More ammo is currently being sold than at any time in US history. Supply is putting the ammo out, but demand is too high for anything to be sitting on the shelves. Now would be a darn good time to be an ammo manufacturer.

Wideners got in 14,400,000 rounds of 5.56 ammo a few days ago and sold it all in one day.

Things will even out in the next few months, if a war doesnt start in this country anyway.

All the ammo is not gone. Not in the slightest. Its just all getting bought so fast none is sitting in stock anywhere.

Youre misinterpreting what Walmart is doing. This was all discussed an hashed out here last week.

Walmart is not doing special orders of ammo for individual stores due to the current situation. However, stores ARE still getting ammo in as they can. Its just getting sold as fast as they can get it in.

Yes expensive but its the good stuff, we also have a local gun shop that had some .223 last week I drove out on a Tuesday.

Us Preppers did not stop at ammo, we also loaded the house with Food/Water/Toilet Paper/Coffee/Liquor and planted Gardens and started raising Rabbits & Tilopia.

First, I wouldn't buy shit from Cheaper than Dirt after they fucked over gun owners and pulled there semi-auto shit after sandy hook.

Second I said .22lr and 9mm is what's gone at the moment. .223 / 5.56 will be next

22lr is good for hunting small game, but is illegal just
about everywhere for deer.

it is only a step above a pellet gun for home defense.

it is a cheap practice round, i suppose.

that being said, i wonder why so many people are going
so damn crazy for that round. they buy it as soon as
