Although scientists disagree as to whether animal behavior can be used to predict earthquakes and natural disasters, they all agree that it is possible for animals to sense changes in the environment before humans. Researchers around the world are continuing to study animal behavior and earthquakes. It is hoped that these studies will help to aid earthquake predictions.

Goofy Read up on Jim Berkland. He used lost dog ads back in the 90s and made a very accurate prediction for the world series quake that hit cali. You are very right about the animals. ....Research facility in China use snakes to study earthquake prediction... japan has ancient folklore about earthquake fish.. not a single uncaged animal died in the 2008 Indian ocean tsunami they all fled to higher ground before the waves hit..... it goes on and on and on. I have made several post here on this subject.

The Moon reaches its full phase tonight and is opposite the sun. IDK but usually the moon can make creatures a little funny.

I am in North Carolina. My dog acts strange alot, but she is going to the door more often tonight...she wants out of the house more.

We live out in the sticks, so I just thought there might be an animal outside. I have to watch that, as she is a miniature pinscher...small, but she thinks she is huge...lol.

Re: My dogs acting strange...anyone else
I just had the ABSOLUTE weirdest dream of my life and just woke up. Yes, I'm in CA.

All of a sudden it seems my mind was focused on random letters. They were randomly shuffling and flashing. The words "earthquake" "California" came flashing through and highlighted - both emphasized in white upon greyed out random letters back against a solid black background.

Then a clock. Fading, rotating. It was frozen and white highlighted right on 4:00. I figured 4:00 p.m. because in my dream the clock was pointing down towards the lower left and I really felt strong feelings towards "P.M.". For some reason in my dream I felt "left = 4:00" when lower left on a clock is 8:00 IRL. I specifically saw the #s 4:00 p.m. in my dream highlighted.

Afterwards, everything flashed to my room in the dark. Shaking. Shaking. I woke up next to my clock. Don't remember what my clock said then. It was all just a blur. Things were packed on the couch in the living room as I ran. They are not packed now IRL. It just wouldn't stop. The most violent shaking I had ever felt in my whole life. My family and I ran to the front door to look outside. Everything was just shaking violently. Shaking. Shaking.

It's just a dream to be sure, but...it sure freaked me out. Eeeeek! I can't go back to sleep.

Sorry guys. Whew!! It sure felt real for a few minutes.

I do not want to intensify the worry you may have or add to any negative vibes, but I am on the east coast and for a short amount of time I felt a weird vibe, and it wasn't one of being in direct danger or anything, it's just to me, the air didn't feel right. and once I found out my cat was acting out, now I don't know what the heck it was or is about.

Couple things going on here. First, in the morning a cardinal was bumping into my bedroom window. This happened about five years ago with a cardinal??? Would do it repeatedly all day long. Now I have another. Then the dogs went out, and were going apeshit. I listened and there was a pack and I do mean a pack of coyotes going nuts in the back field. Weather is calling for snow and freezing rain.

3 years. 3 years till they grow up mentally that is.

But remember what you were like as a child. Full of piss and vinegar. Also they only have 12 or so years so get over it. Its Play time!!!!!!!!.

I raise Long Haired German Shepherds. Retired this year after 18 years. Have 8 dogs now. 3 to 14.

None are acting weird tonight any more than usual but I do watch them for disturbances. Same with the Horses. Have 12 all calm and casual tonight.

Southwestern BC.

When their not acting right I am always paying attention. They always tell me when the weather is changing. Storm coming they are usually pretty rowdy.

My husband took our Corgi/basset hound mix for a walk around 5 this evening and he said he sort of slunk around with his tail between his legs the whole time even though he wasn't in trouble. Maybe he was nervous. The rest of the night he was really clingy but otherwise pretty normal. Curious.

I have had the worse headache pains tension and pressure in a very long time the last time was before the Haiti quake, had headache pain for over a week then it hit, I don't normally get headaches but only these very painful ones before a huge earthquake happens. Also I had a dream or more like words were spoken to me, on saturday early morning, earthquake, California is going into the sea. I wasn't even thinking of earthquakes when I went to bed was actually writing in my childrens book...I live on the west coast, but the pain in my head is tremendous tonight and I am off centered can't think straight, feel light headed and nope healthy as a horse, nothing wrong with me physically. This only happens to me before massive earthquakes I was told that the earthquake of California would happen in a few days...please take this warning seriously it could save your life, get right with Jesus before it's too late.

yes, yes, yes! My two dogs started barking up a storm for absolutely no reason, and have been edgy ever since. I can't go anywhere in the house without them following me.

Where is everyone from? I'm from NH. I was wondering if it is something geographical going on? Future earthquake? That's happened before, especially when my big dogs were still alive. one night, I was sitting on my porch talking on the phone, and my dogs went nuts, all five of them. They barked for about ten minutes, couldn't get them to calm down. Next thing I know, the house started shaking, and I thought that my porch was going to fall down (it's a second level porch). My two dogs that are left from the Fab 5 as I called them never ever bark unless something is outside or before something strange occurs with the weather or other things. Should be interesting to see what comes of this, if anything. They're still restless now.

Our cats have also been acting a bit nervous tonight as well. Very chatty with one another, too. I forgot to mention that in my post above this one. They usually all settle down for the night once the TV is off and the rest of the family is in bed.
