You have 20+ years left to contribute, but how, trying not to be bitter? Quoting: Justalittlebad Just askin. Stay positive! You still have your brillant mind, heart and personality. I was 41 when I was told I had peripherial nueropathy. VA threw meds at me, gave me a walker and leg braces. Didn't know if one day I would be in a wheel chair. I dont use the leg braces only the walker if I have to walk far distances. I use a scooter (cool) at amusement parks. You can find many ways to find peace and happiness other then focus on the wheel chair. |

Squatch Hunter User ID: 25765147 United States 01/27/2013 11:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Op, There are many handicap people in this world. Being in a wheelchair doesn't mean life is over nor does it mean that you can't contribute & experience all the emotions of living. I'm able to walk but not run or even jog any great distance. Sure, there are lots of things I know I will never be able to do now, like climb mountains etc but that doesn't mean life is over. It just means that I have to adjust to my reality and make life the best possible experience I can. |

"And how can a man die better than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods..." ~ Horatius "Because he told the truth, and once you've heard the truth, everything else is just cheap whiskey..." Yes life is so much more difficult for you, but you contribute just the same to loved ones and all you care to do in the world. I have a close friend who dove into a river and hit a rock and has been quadraplegic for many years. And yet his life is so satisfying and complete today. He's such an inspiration to me. It's a state of mind. But I am not in your shoes and by no means making light of it. It must be so incredibly challenging in every way. :hanginthere: |

It's hard to wax poetic when your ass is covered in sores. With good care that is most certainly not the case. True enough. I would also want one of those extendo grabber things to reach the cupboards lol. |

Robert Wyatt managed nicely: And read everything by this guy: [link to www.callahanonline.com] Callahans dick did not work. But he had killer orgasms from this place on his neck. It relocates. Read the book, the guy was hysterical. |

Find a vehicle that I drive to get around. It will be just a slow process of getting everything figured out. vaccinefreehealth blogspot com The risk far outweighs any benefit as the risk will vary from child to child. facebook.com/graphixyourway |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 31698368 United States 01/28/2013 01:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP, not in a wheel chair but close to that....I'm avoiding that at all cost. I have MS. I work full time, from home. I make phenominal money and I am not kidding. I'm married and have a five year old child. Yes I'm exhausted most of the time, but I didn't let it get me down. So what is next....get some determination. Refuse to let this be the block that stops you from fullfilling what you want for yourself. |
