Then try to open her mouth and look in with a flashlight. May have something stuck in throat. Check rest of body, including ears and tail, for swelling or tenderness. Hope your doggie is okay. |
eyeDR3 (OP) User ID: 5754707 United States 01/28/2013 12:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | She's calm now. Did a physical check up. No swelling, just a small lump on her back near her spine, an abscess. She is well bathed, very nice coat. She's not in tip top, but close. She needs a good claw treatment and something for her teeth. But other than that, she's almost 8 years old and still has baby fur I call it. Her ears are softer than ever, she is really happy, VERY active and well treated. I give her Rachel Ray just 6. Still taking her to a vet asap. :memorybanner: |

Took 3 people to do another of my cats. Was nighttime and vet not open (tiny town). Youll need an exacto knife and clean towels. Absesses can be deadly!!! |

(Basically that's low blood sugar.) (I looked these symptoms up, (search engines are your friend!} and after reading the possibilities, decided to try one of the emergency procedures. Just gave her about 1/2 teaspoon of Karo syrup. She quit trembling shortly afterward, and settled down. If this happens again, I'm taking her to the vet. |

Quoting: eyeDR3 Like a "huggghhh huggghhh." But in like three little breaths Her whole body is like having shakes. Almost like she's literally sobbing. She was also staring dead through all of us. She looked really sad like she knew something? Anyone know what it may be? She's healthy. This seems more emotional... Time to go to the 24 Hour Animal Hospital before she dies. Also, here for a real quick Vet Opinon: [link to www.vetlive.com] Good Luck |

Mine was said to have an aneurism of a main artery around the heart. Similar symptoms as OP and You both describe. Now I wonder if it was due to melamine poisoning. eyeDR3 (OP) User ID: 5754707 United States 01/28/2013 04:01 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Very calm right now. She was really hyper this morning, and actually cuddled to let me know she's ok. Hate to make it a money issue, but I cannot afford to take her to the vet. I literally am just making it and already have a debt near a year of my income. She lives everyday like its her last it seems. I dunno... All of her issues I can take care of myself, and being her doctor myself makes me much more comfortable. Vets always seemed to cause more issues. :memorybanner: |

ASPRIATION PNEUMONIA is where a person or animal inhales something into their lungs. THE PROBLEM WITH THIS IF UNTREATED IT BECOMES INFECTED AND IT IS HARD TO REVERSE IF YOU DON'T TREAT WITH ANTIBIOTICS ASAP. If you can get liquid that you can mix in soft food, crushing pills is a pain in the ass. |
