The media will give the American people the impression that sheriffs SUPPORT gun control and that the "few" who don't are "rogues".

Next thing you know, the 2nd Amendment-supporting sheriffs are made out to be "warlords" and "terrorists".

Obama is going with "sympathy" to get the media (and thus the sheeple) on board.

He chose chiefs from "mass shooting" towns.

I do get a sense of some sort of revolution brewing. If only states realized how much power they have. Just like if we individuals realized how much power we had, we wouldn't be in the mess we are now.

I think this will be a PR stunt to get the American people to believe that local law enforcement agencies across the country are "on board" with Obama's gun control scheme.

That way, the sheriffs and municipal cops who oppose Obama's scheme will look like "fringe elements" which will justify them being TAKEN OUT.

The real question people have to ask themselves is whether or not they will comply.

I met one, here outside Wash DC who was running for Sheriff, and I asked him right off what he thought of Sheriff Arpiao, and he answered: "I think he needs to watch himself........"

Exactly, the key words in those news stories are Sheriffs from MAJOR cities.

You can bet your ass he wont talk to anyone that doesn't want to take away our guns. I'm sure he cherry picked the sheriffs to get the radical gun grabbers.I'd like to see his reaction if one of them told him they would refuse to enforce any gun grabber law. How about we send him one from a state that promises to prosecute anyone trying to take guns?

They may push it through. But will the people push back?

Remember that "extremists" who don't comply may be dealt with like "terrorists" and "warlords".

My prediction (for what it's worth):

The media will stop using words like "militia" and "2nd Amendment supporter" and start using terms like "warlords" and "extremists". It's already happening to some degree.

This meeting with police chiefs and sheriffs is an attempt to marginalize and demonize local law enforcement agencies that are reluctant to comply.

Check the links near the end of the original post to see which counties and cities are represented by the two organizations meeting with Obama and Biden.

The rest of his agenda requires congressional action. I doubt he will find the support there that he needs to get his radical agenda passed. He may be able to make his executive orders stick, but he wont get the rest of the program.

He's still not gonna get people's guns, so he can go fuck himself. Any sane rational person will not give up their right to keep their weapons.

Here's what I see happening.

This whole gun grab is "for the children's protection"...right?

I believe they will come down with a declaration that if you have a gun in your home AND you have children, that it's a danger to your children.

Therefore they will "request" that people with children turn in their guns "for the safety of the children".

If those people refuse...then the CPS will be called and their children will be taken away from them because of the "danger" caused by the gun in the home.

So it will basically be "your gun or your kids".

That will be the start.

Yeah, all the Sheriffs who are left wing pigs and who will be able to keep their guns.

I keep saying this, but look to IL FOID regulations as the similar model that will eventually result.
