Sunday's Defense Research and Development Organization test of the nuclear-capable ballistic missile K-15, also called BO5, was conducted from an undisclosed undersea location in the Bay of Bengal, the Press Trust of India news agency reported. The test helped the country take another step toward achieving the so-called nuclear triad -- the ability to fire nuclear-tipped missiles from land, air and other reports said. Quoting: DoorBert The missile was launched from an approximate depth of about 50 metres, simulating exactly the conditions as would prevail during an operational launch from India's indigenously made nuclear-powered submarine bINS Arihant. The missile whose name has been variously given as Sagarika or at times K-15 or even Dhanush has finally been christened as BO5 and is a medium-range ballistic missile. |

Watch for a show of brinkmanship by China next. |

The whole warning to its citizens to build underground shelters is pretty scary stuff to me. Its new. Its not posturing like the other countries seem to do on a monthly basis. I take heed on this. I am telling others to bring in their tomatoe plants. 5*. Lisa |
