Can everybody own a tazer?

Depends on jurisdiction,state,etc., Some places ban stunguns outright or require a special license. Some places even ban spray or require a police license. I'm pretty sure tazers are illegal for civilians everywhere in the U.S., could be wrong, though. Well I hate to be an ass but you are incorrect. As a matter of fact, those of us with CCL's are encouraged to carry a non lethal means of protection to aid us in our legal defense if GOD FORBID we ever have to actually shoot someone. The standard means of prosecution in self defense cases is that the defender was "looking" to kill someone. Just possessing a tazer or pepper spray demonstrates that you have the presence of mind to incapacitate an attacker and not just shoot someone.
