I put no. It's bad enough we have to send fathers to fight,we don't need mothers acting like savages as well.

Can they apply for special forces / SEAL training?

No. You have to be in a certain mos to apply.

I would have thought that most Americans would say yes, since it seems to be the general consensus that women should be armed for personal/family protection. So if they should be trigger trained for domestic situations then why not extend it to national defense?

I was asked this question in 1995 when women were ok'ed to be fighter pilots, I was active duty navy then and I am a woman: The way american men are raised to protect women ect, would make it difficult to support women on the front lines/special forces. Not that i do not think women are capable. Like in G.I. Jane... Viggo makes the eby forcing her shipmates to witness him beating her ass, to show their weakness not hers.

NO!!! Look. Its like this. Women CANNOT do EVERYTHING a man can do and God DID NOT make women to do everything a man can do! I fully believe that its hard enough on men in the military when they have to do recovery missions and go find pieces of their friends that were in their Battalion with them and its hard enough on MEN to go get their friends who have holes blown them or their throats slit to where they are held on by a thread....and I believe men would have a VERY hard time seeing this done to a women. AndI believe women will have a very hard time seeing this done to other women as well!
Men in combat ( most men) will be distracted by trying to protect women in combat and I just can't see where this is a good thing at all. These women who believe they are exactly equal to men are just ate up in my opinion!!

The military destroyed my half sisters life. She is suffering from so many medical ailments & a lot of them are due to the fact that she fell off some of the birds on aircraft carriers.

If a woman is fit enough, wants to fight and is not afraid to die for her country, she should have every right to serve on the front lines. In my oppinion the wowan should be able to choose.

I think we all need to accept that our strengths and weaknesses are different from men. Not better, not worse - but just different. We can contribute to our society and counties in different ways, using our brains and using our compassion. Sure there may be some Xena warrior princesses out there, but those are few.

It's not about being able to do the same task. There's more to it. Primarily, men are hard wired to protect women. Some can be trained out, but that trait will exist and, in a fight, a man may take unnecessary risks when paired up with a woman. Second, most women would have to seriously excel in the physical strength arena to throw a 220# unconsious man, with kit, over her shoulder and run for cover.

So, me, if I'm in a serious fire fight, I want women elsewhere. You can fly the blackhawk, .50 gunner, even sniper (and women really do shoot better in general), but on the ground infantry, I must say NO.

Dudes are pussies, Women are the stronger gender, maybe not bigger, but stronger. The only reason it would be a problem on the front lines is that MEN couldnt handle it.

You are right. Men could not handle fighting with a woman and expect to have success equal to the same fight with only men. The woman or women would be protected by the men, knowingly or not.
