this will start to take place nation wide, or the attempt at it, and one day it will go live.

Love the fucking idiotic quote at the end of this article:

The Army did not give any details of what the training is for. Some people we spoke to needed no explanation.

"If it's to protect our kids, I'm all for it," neighbor Glenn DeWitt said.

Re: PREPARE! They are...Army says, "multi-agency training exercise" at old Carnegie High School in Houston
yeah my 6 year old sister had a practice lockdown drill a few weeks ago it was a very touchy subject... teacher had to notify parents ahead of time in case it'd be too much for the student.

her school is i guess similar to sandy hook they have a bathroom in her class, so they went in there, locked it and just spoke very quietly for a few moments. apparently no children were scared... also had a police man go around to the different classrooms...

strange though in the letter the teacher gave she mentioned the kids requested that they do it again with the lights off..

i thought that was a little weird, i highly doubt enough of the kids would want to go in the dark like that especially since i know a lot of them are wusses like my sister.

i went to visit her that same day during recess and it was freaky her teacher had a pair of pajamas with owls all over them!! freaked me out!

Interesting, I was banned last night when trying to add a link about something else that happened in Oregon. I don't want to try again and get this IP blocked so I will say this, Google "convoy Oregon" and it should be the first link that comes up. It was written a couple years ago but is still very interesting.

Two possibilities come to mind. Something is imminent for sure. Perhaps a magnetic reversal of the poles . The other possibility is economic collapse.

...According to a letter from Cary-Grove High School principal Jay Sargeant, there will be a code red drill at the school on Wednesday.

It will include somebody shooting blanks from a gun in the hallway “in an effort to provide our teachers and students some familiarity with the sound of gunfire.”

Speechless...

By training in American cities, the armed forces can realize maneuvers and special considerations that are needed to control urban infrastructure in the case of civil disturbance and insurrection. Having foreknowledge of the people living in the specified cities that are marked for control assist in the “critical operational success” of not only “knowing the enemy” but also the ability to retain a level of concealment and surprise.

I'm curious...these "exercises" may or may not be using live fire. If they are using live fire is it FMJ or JHP?

FMJ is required by Geneva convention and it is what our military uses. If these exercises were truly training for overseas deployment they would be using FMJ.

JHP (What DHS has ordered over a billion rounds of) have more knock down power and are less likely to go through walls or other people as long as you hit your intended target first. They expend most of their energy on initial impact. LEO use JHP for this reason.

Interesting, found another school "training exercise"

Officials at North Carolina Central University in Durham took advantage of students being away from campus for winter break by holding training for a campus emergency...

Jesus Christ. How much more Orwellian-Double-Speak could you get than calling terrorizing high school kids "terror training".

Did the Mayan Aocolypse really happen and now we are in some sort of alternative universe where we don't realize that law enforcement is literally telling us they are terrorizing our children so that when they grow up they will be terrorized cowards who will bend and kneel before their masters?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 30981074

We know so little about the Maya, but I do think 12/21/2012 was a significant date and that perhaps it was the beginning of the end of the world as we know it. It has felt like we've been living in bizarro world since early November for me anyways. It'll be interesting to see what transpires over the next few years...

Last week, more than two dozen SWAT team members descended on Silver Lake Regional Middle and High Schools.

Their weapons were drawn, but not loaded. They ran through the building, simulating their approach to a scenario in which a shooter or shooters were also inside.

It’s called a “Code Yellow” and is meant to be a drill that prepares teachers and students for an unthinkable – but possible – reality.

I have read enough, everyone needs to think about this:

The US Military is not training to rescue kids at a school in an "active shooter" scenario
. That is clear for this simple reason..."RESPONSE TIME!!"

Almost every police department has what is called "active rescue." that is their response to an active shooter. the one thing that we have all learned from all these shooting is you cannot wait for SWAT to get the call, respond, assemble, coordinate, move into place, and then act. Active rescue is the first 4-5 officers on scene enter together as a "contact squad" to "stop the threat." the next 4-5 officers enter as a "rescue squad" but they act as a contact squad. the immediate threat is the shooter, you find them (single or multiple shooters) and stop them.

now if PDs are not waiting for SWAT to respond, what makes you think they then would wait for military? seriously?

you cannot stop A.S. scenarios, but you can mitigate them. How? response time. you stop the threat asap.

starting looking into Anti-T. techniques. Anti-T is not Counter-T. MSHARPP or CARVER threat assessment matrix.

New Orleans residents can expect flights to begin around 7 a.m. CST tomorrow and continue for about an hour, officials said. If inclement weather occurs, the exercise will take place the following morning, and if bad weather continues, officials will then make a decision to postpone or cancel the exercise.

another unexpected military drill in an urban area worries residents ...

==========================================================
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The sight of Army helicopters and the sound of gunfire created a lot of concern Monday afternoon in one Houston neighborhood.

We received a lot of phones calls, Tweets and Facebook posts from worried neighbors, wondering what was going on.

...
"I felt like I was in a warzone." Jerrals said. "It was nonstop. I was terrified."

Turns out, it was a multi-agency training drill that Jerrals wished would have come with warning.

===========================================================

[link to www.youtube.com]

Note the about 16-18 civilian type firearms being laid out on the concrete at 0:52.

Before anyone says its routine training - no this is not normal.

Posse comitatus disallows the military from stateside operations.

Sooo ... What is the point of training for something that would be illegal?

Love the fucking idiotic quote at the end of this article:

The Army did not give any details of what the training is for. Some people we spoke to needed no explanation.

"If it's to protect our kids, I'm all for it," neighbor Glenn DeWitt said.

I don't think that was Army personnel at all. Those folks walking around look like contractors or feds. Many were in civilian clothes and not camies/BDU's which is odd. Also you'd think the helicopter would say "Army" somewhere on it...

The weapons being laid on the ground at 52 seconds is really odd. We never laid our weapons down like that when I trained in the military. If they weren't on our person we would lean 3 rifles together (like a teepee) so they weren't laying on the ground.

I find it really odd the Houston PD supposedly knew what was going on but the fire department didn't? At the very end of the clip they mention that an ambulance was dispatched until HPD contacted dispatch and advised it was a training exercise.

Keep in mind the Super Bowl is in New Orleans this weekend.

Cant do training there with that many people in town for the game. But Houston and Miami are close (both are port cities, just like N.O.). Tampa is closer but i am not sure if Miami's ports are more similar to N.O. than Tampa.

Just a thought.
