That's awesome! Not practical though, most of us have to work, and I for one would not be caught anywhere near work on my last day :)
I have been thinking about this a lot lately...heading to Afghanistan again...hate it, but it pays the bills. Will be gone until October this time...sucks!

I would spend it with my family. Spend time with them outside & inside.

Make sure my daughters wedding is planned out to the minutest detail. (75% there already)

I think most would spend it reflecting on their past,
and the later part of the day, worrying about their future.(destination)

I would spend 23 hours with my wife and little girl...The other hour? Well...Lets just say my ex wouldnt have a good day.

Therefore, as a Brotherhood of Man, we need to rethink the way we do things.

Focus only on those things we ENJOY doing and finding solutions for those which we don't.

I totally agree! The 'epic' changes however, are so big they seem overwhelming. What do I get from working a 9-5? 2 days off and a few hours a day with my family in our home? Is it worth it? NO WAY! I am not saying we should all sit around and pass the bong all day, but something has got to give. This system of work, eat, sleep, repeat has GOT to change...but how?
I know my family and I would be perfectly happy just raising goats, chickens, cows, etc and living off the land. Things were different in days past, technology leads to materialism, which leads to unhappiness...

And that kind of life does not foster love, it does not foster happiness, and it does not lead to a healthy family.

The first step to change is recognizing the need for it.

The second step is summoning the courage to make it.

Especially when it is into the unknown.

The Pyramid needs to be torn down.

Plain and simple.

Once we have a level field, then we grab the low up off the ground and move forward.

Alright a lil more in depth

If I could do anything at all...

I would cook the biggest meal

Food that my Wife loved, food that My Mom and My Father loved and food that I loved

for My father
*Cornbread
*Soup Beans
*Pork Tenderloin
*Kraut

For my Wife and mom
Chicken in Alfredo sauce with Artichokes, peppers, mushrooms, black olives and penne pasta

for myself the biggest steak I could get my hands on grilled with Montreal steak seasoning



and I would eat until I just about threw up.
It would take at least 4 hours to cook and 2 hours to eat because not only would I eat my steak... i'd make enough that I could the stuff i made for everyone else lol


5 hours gone... 19 more to go....

I would spend the next 30 minutes smoking that cigar I got put up for when society comes crashing down... while looking back over my life and laughing.

I would then check all my bird feeders made sure they had plenty of seed in them. 10 minutes gone.

I would then sit in the nearby creek bask in its coolness (or coldness) 20 more minutes gone

18 more to go...

I would take a walk in these hills listening for the last time the whispers of wisdom of the trees and wind

16 hours left.

I would talk with my father and tell him i appreciated the life he gave me as a child and thank him for being a hard worker and providing for us.

15 hours left

I would have the same talk with my mother and thank her for all that she had done for me and how much it meant to me.

14 hours left. I would play guitar as loud as hell and put on my own private concert for myself

13 hours left... I would dance with my wife

12 hours left... I would spend the rest of my time laying in bed with my wife enjoying the last few moments of life...

I would watch "What Dreams May Come" with her while listening to her heart beat...

Then I would tickle her...
tell her stupid lame ass jokes...
Then I would admire her... telling her how much i loved her and how glad i was to be married to her...
then 20 minutes trying to bite her...
Then she would tell me how wonderful i was lol
Then my wife and I would toast each other with a glass of Mead...
then make her cuddle me for the remainder of my time... because i would cry like a little bitch uncontrollably... dying sucks :(

I'd stay in bed, read GLP, have friends over to get in bed, order takee outee from every restaurant that would deliver, take all my paintings off the walls and lean them up against the bedroom walls...then it would be.....

I will definitely check it out...it is right up there with "Downton Abbey" as far as wife wanting me to watch things goes...I have dodged both so far, but I think I will give her the choice of mindless entertainment tonight. and ya good steak, but not worth dying for haha I will settle for a chili mac frozen dinner
