Yea doc tried just about everything except for really fucking around with disk utilities which I'm kinda sketch about cause it can erase essential Ipod programming and I ain't no tech. try this hold down the menu and the center button for about 15 second and that reboots it (dont worry you'll keep all your files and then plug it into the computer again, it should turn on!
