We are one in the unified field. hugs I am sorry for your loss, and pain, OP. Talking...writing, is good. If there are things you miss about your mother particularly, please feel free to share here--your memories of her, the things you miss, things that made her special. I enjoy knowing about others, if you're not feeling like sharing, that's ok, too! Sending you healing and wishing you peace of spirit. hugs

Felt like half on me was missing. I took her children under my wind because I knew that is what she would do for my children. Fast forward 6 years, the pain is still here. Not a day goes by that I dont think of her and smile. One thing I can say to you, the pain your feeling will lessen. The knife in the gut feeling with be replaced with loving memories that with be with you until you meet again. One year after Karen passed my Mother died. Some say it was from a broken heart. One think that snapped me out of the intense loneliness and utter destruction of the life I once knew, someone said "would they want you to be living life like this"? The answer was no. I wish I had a mom worth missing.
My mom is a really bad person I still love her I just can't be around her.
She isn't the kind of person I can trust for advise and she doesn't hug or show emotion.
Kind of sad, guess that's why I am the way I am

You were very fortunate to have a mother you miss. Some of us had parents so dreadful we do not see them even when they are alive.

I can not bear to watch the videos of the soldiers coming home to their happy children. What is that? To be happy to see your father? I prayed every day my father would not come home from work.

You were blessed.

keep on keepin' on, experience what you can, it's not easy but it's what we must do, while down here...you shall be reunited once more, perhaps not in the same relationship, but reunited nonetheless...it's alright

Pain is a part of the process, no one escapes it, we all go through, eventually, one way or another...reasons, of which, none of us know the ultimate goal, for certain...we will

it's a pain we all experience someday, and that you never really get used to.
it hurts at times, might never heal completely and trying to accept it is hard.

But time is a healer, as they say :)

Re: its painfull, i miss my mother...laught at me, but i am in pain
I am so sorry for your loss. Unfortunately, it is a grief that we all have to go through at one time or another.

My father and my brother passed away, within 3 months of each other, then my sister passed away 2 years later. It was almost more then I could bear, but, I did. My mother is still alive at 87 years old, but has been diagnosed with lung cancer, so I don't know how long it will be until she goes.

Cry...it is very healing. Talk to her out loud...it is not crazy. Talk to others, join a group for people who are grieving, it may help to share and hear other's stories. You will know that you are not alone in this.

You are not a "nobody". We are all somebody, with real feelings, and we all matter. Don't ever think of yourself as a nobody. We don't need fortune or fame to be a somebody.

You will heal...it may not seem like it now. Don't shy away from the emptiness that you feel, embrace it, then you will be able to let it go when you are ready.

You may be surprised to find out how many people are out here that do care, and really do understand. :)

hugs
When you take a breath in, that is how close your mom is in the air you breathe into your lungs right here and now. You are her expression of love in the warm blood that circulates your body's every cell that are her cells as well. She is in the ambient light through your hair, at the same time your hair itself. That is how close your mother is to you, the way her arms are around you.

Love is peculiar the way the pain of having a child is forgotten immediately when a mother holds her baby for the first time, and a father too.

If we're very lucky we have loved ones whose every gesture is like being scooped up in warmth and safety.
When the need to love is so irresistible it can't help but be expressed because love is what you are.
My son's lst grade playmate had a mom from aussie, who related the story of how her father took a long train ride from his work as soon as he was paid to bring her lunch to her school.
How amazing is it to be loved like that.
It is the richest legacy there is, to have this kind of love to encircle anyone or any creature with the priceless meaning we ourselves have received and can now give easily and generously.

I know this sounds silly to suggest but am going to anyway.
When you hold a rock in your hand, these alive things, cut crossways you can see pictures these little objects reflected from eons in their local surroundings. Especially jasper and agate. You can see the fractile truth story of how all things are reflections of 'other' like the heartbeat in unison of the world, of nature.
Yes you can find them on ebay rocks minerals and stones.
So when you are feeling sad and lonely, spend time holding them in your hand. Just keep looking at things that show us how a part of everything and all that is you and your relationship with your parents are, and what complete sense it makes to have warmth and to feel love.
Because all of nature is made this way. Nothing is lost, my love.
:)

Re: its painfull, i miss my mother...laught at me, but i am in pain
OP, after I lost my Dad, the doctor prescribed something for depression. I took it for about a week and began to feel distant from reality. At the end of the week, I threw the pills away and embraced the pain. I didn't want to loose the memory of my dad or to feel detached from reality of his loss. I cried silent tears daily for six months but the beautiful memory of him was there with me the whole time!

Both my parents died and also my wife died in 2010. Yes it can get very lonely but you have to play the cards that are dealt you. Sucks but that is how life is.

I always figure that God has different plans in mind for me and so I just go with where life leads me. It is nothing more than a journey and only lasts on average about 80 years and so that is just a drop in the bucket. Hang on because you will have some people and other things that will come into your life eventually. we all have a purpose to fulfill and you are no different.

I told my Mother that I would never put her in a nursing home and that she would always have a place in my home. I did, however, tell her I would NEVER wipe her ass and that was the deal breaker. When the time came though, I gladly wiped her butt and would gladly do so today if she was only still alive.

Great thread...my mom passed 7 years ago...she was a very spiritual lady...from the moment she passed I still feel her essence when I get quiet and reflect on her spirit...sit with it in silence..embrace it...Moms are so special..just look in the mirror and see the reflections of her qualities in yourself...she taught you all you need to know...best wishes to you OP and others who have lost their mother...

How old OP? Had your mother passed? How old was she?

How long ago? Do you have a pet? Are you able to get one?

Are you male? Most women wouldn't care if anyone laughed at them for missing someone who was near and dear to them.

There are quite a few people who care.

Sometimes it's ok just to lay and have a good cry.

If you prefer not to answer I hope you have a better night's sleep tonight.
