My grandmother who raised me from a baby has been gone now 5 years on the 24th of January. Your heart may mend, but you'll never stop missing them.

lost my mom 22 years ago...still miss her, the pain never really goes away it just changes over time...I pretty much had to stop thinking about her passing and instead thought of a new reason to celebrate the life she lived here, instead of the day she passed even if it was something silly.

Now I don't think about the day she left, I only think about the day she arrived, her bday of course..after all without that day I wouldn't be here to carry on her memory.

I hope in some small way that helps :)

maybe she'll come see you in a dream, mine shows up once in a while.

There are people who do care and dont like seeing others hurting. I wish I had words that could cheer you up. Just try to remain strong and know that they dont want you to be sad.

but from my understanding , the bond that still remains - and links you to her is two way

she remains linked to you too
it isn't pithy to say she doesn't want you to be in despair as she will-quite literally - feel it too


i really hope this doesn't upset you but the bonds of love are eternal

for her sake -as she can't 'move on' until you let go and give her permission

and that is the greatest act of love of all

it's not to never think of her or bring her to mind
but when you do- recount the love and let her go

we all get there in the end - but she has done her time
and yours is still ahead of you

she isn't gone but round the corner -willing you to live life well and join her at your time

Write you mother a letter and get it all out. Tell her of your pain. Talk to her.

Just know that she is somewhere near you to listen. And she doesn't want you to quit. She doesn't want you to be too sad for too long. She wants you to find happiness the best you can. It's what a mother wants for her children.

I miss my dad and my sister who was my best friend, but they are in a better pass and not that faraway. I feel better when I talk to them and just remember all the thing about them.

You miss them, but they would not want you to stand still in sorrow. Always remember the person and how they were. They really are with you always.

I hope you have other people in your life that you love, too. If not find someone that you can love and talk to, their are a lot of older women who have loss their children, they need love.

Very natural reaction and you wouldn't be human if you didn't miss her. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and I hope the pain eases with time.

I lost my grandmother 10 years ago or so and she raised me and I called her my mother and I still think about her every day. It doesn't hurt but I feel the hole in my life that she was in and now it's empty. But, they are in a better place than this shithole and that should be comforting to you. They are not suffering the misery of this lonely, self serving, morally twisted world.

Keep your chin up, time heals wounds. Hopefully you find some nice woman to help ease your pain.

I don't know if your mother is gone or if you are just homesick. Whichever it is, your feelings do you credit, and her.

My parents have been gone 10 years now. I think of them every day and I am so thankful for the wonderful childhood that I had. I know that they loved me. The 2 people in the world that always gave and never asked anything in return. My world is so empty without that and much of my hope is gone.

Some nights, I dream about them as though they are still alive.

Sometimes, I can feel that they are still with me. Sometimes I can hear them give me advise or show me some wisdom.

"If you listen very hard, it will come to you I know ..." and she will be there!

I wish I knew the exact thing to tell you that would help fill that hole in your heart. My parents are quite elderly -
mid 80's. I'm divorced, no children, only one sibling that I'm not close to. I have a laundry list of very close friends and family that have all passed away. Frankly, I'm terrified when the day comes the Good Lord calls my parents home. But that is the thing that gives me hope I'll be able to pull through. My faith in Christ.

I pray an angel comes and brings you comfort now, and whenever you need.

MAY YOUR MEMORIES OF TIME GONE BY, SOOTH YOUR SORROWS AND EASE THE PAIN IN YOUR HEART
