Everyone should be able to ask for a hand and not one person deserves a hand-out.

First mistake in thought.

Comparing your children's lives with rich children's lives.

If you want your child to have a rich child's life. You have every right to go and work for it.

I've had 2 and sometimes 3 jobs, while my husband has done the same. If you want something work for it. You'll have something called self-pride.

The only thing a tutor does is reinforce the curriculum. Rich people just get to pay someone else to do that for them.

If your child isn't the brightest bulb in the bunch, be a parent and help them learn.

BTW, while working 2 jobs, one at night and the other once a week, I got the wonderful experience of still being a stay at home mom.

It wasn't until a couple of years ago, my 2 oldest children realized that I was working the whole time they were little.

Not me, your to purdy and I love the Volunteers.I have kin east and west Tennessee.Besides I have to keep my balls in my wife's purse or else.I have never posted karma ever because I can only post good karma for all.

Work has never turned anyone into a wealthy man.

Prostitution on the other hand is a very well paying profession.Most the time women dont know how to handle money thus they get on crack , and never become wealthy.

I say we make free birthing clinics....in africa. It might be cheaper on tax payers. Sure, the whole thing is free....its the getting back that will cost ya.

Oh....NGO....sounds like what we call a CAP agency, here......Community Action Programs....nonprofit agencies....

Yeah....the icing story is a very telling one......And I agree that people who've abused these programs are very savvy indeed....

I never received welfare and I hope I will never need it as my children are grown and I am retired.

These kind of lawmakers just boil my blood. Instead making it work they just do the opposite. Let us stop paying taxes and get rid of these politicians. Let them work for their living and pay for their own medical etc. They will learn quickly.

What if you were a white middle class intact family with a 12 year old who relocated from California and moved to TN due to a death in the family and am the primary caregiver of a 70 year old mother with Parkinson's Disease? My husband has NOT found a job because there is NOTHING that supports our family structure. So we had to go on Public Assistance just to eat and have insurance for our son. With our country laying off so many jobs, the pentagon going to lay off 46,000 workers and possibly downsizing the Army and the fiscal cliff, I d like to know where the good paying jobs are. I fear we are going to end up like Mexico, Cuba, or China.
