About 10 years ago my middle son was telling his friends, at school, about how he got to learn to shoot my pistol at our firing range...until then I only let him shoot long guns, and a teacher overheard and called CPS on me.

They dropped in for a visit and I challenged them to find a law against it...he came back with a brochure on a gun course for kids, which I dropped in the trash and pointed to the door telling him to leave. Never heard a peep from CPS since.
