I also get the impression this was two years at least in the making.

Not just that I get the sense that Sandy Hook was kept on the website and "staffed" with names, but that the children had been rezoned to the other 4 elementary schools there.

When I learned that the town has 99 year leases because they abutted the State Park, then through attrition, and
outright not re-signing leases, that the residents of what has remained in this era of foreclosures on top of that,
were a very diminished population.

We have also learned that the town itself was quite unkempt and rough, until a lot of money suddenly appeared and revamped this 'ghost' town with new coats of paint and sidewalks and lighting. Making it a bit more quaint and picturesque. Not that we have been treated to much of the town areas.

Right off the bat it seemed this fire department itself was better suited to a much larger town. I counted something like 8 bays. That is very odd. I live near areas that are 4 times larger population centers and none boast a FD with more than 3 bays. Considering the number of calls that
fire department gets in a years time, do they really have 7 or 8 trucks and pumpers? I didn't see anywhere near that on scene.

I'd say this FD itself got "spruced up recently and ready for it's close ups.
