Re: I eat the same 3 meals a day, every day, and have for a very long time
but long term it's unhealthy both physically and mentally...
 Quoting: BRIEF

No its not. Its the opposite - its a very healthy lifestyle and diet if done right.

Those who do it find out for themselves, when its balanced and done properly, and when staying away from poisons as much as possible.

I recommend that others try it.

I like breads. Fresh home made bread.
In the end it doesn't even matter...

No. Old wives tale.
Its commonly done in the processed food industry. Thats how most foods like frozen hot meals etc are processed - from very hot to cold very quickly.
It used to be that old fridges couldnt handle that much heat being put into them, but modern fridges handle it just fine.

Re: I eat the same 3 meals a day, every day, and have for a very long time
breakfast: scrambled eggs, oatmeal

lunch: chicken and rice (chicken bog)

dinner: chili (beef and bean and tomato)

I cook just for myself, and I cook my lunch and dinner meals in bulk once a week. I buy once/week. I spend about $160-180/month on groceries depeding on how much condiments I buy that month.

- 4 lbs of chicken and 3 lbs of ground chuck a week
- 2 lbs of dry rice(Jasmine) and 2 lbs of dry beans(black and kidney) a week
- 36 eggs a week
- a 42oz container quick oatmeal about every 2 weeks
- 1 banana a day as snack
- a couple fruit and veggies added in as snack

I add in olive oil, macadamia nut oil, coconut oil, peanut butter, and some hot sauce and spices/flavorings and thats it. I take a multi-vit, vit B complex, vit B12, vit C, vit D, Cal/Mag/Zinc, salmon oil

I dont get tired of it at all. I feel healthier than Ive ever been.
 Quoting: Holden 32744103

Actually that is a fairly healthy menu except I would replace the rice with potatoes and butter since rice has very little nutrients and butter ads much needed fatty acids and other vitamin co-factors, I would also add some greens like spinach for minerals eaten with a fat like butter to help with absorption etc.

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. It's not about them handling it....it's about the energy required for the fridge to cool everything down.

Best to let it cool first before slapping it into the fridge.

Funny, while I could easily grab one strip of that bacon and munch on it....that "bacon sandwich" as a whole looks disgusting.

You might as well cut a bunch of slices of smoked LARD and put it between to some bread.

Thats very true about the electricity.

Since these meals have to last in the fridge for a week without spoiling, its best to do the hot to cold thing. The middle temps are where things can go bad very quick.

You are correct, the quicker it can be cooled the longer it will last... Of course the steam from the hot food may increase the moisture in the fridge and allow mold to grow easier.

Yeah I think its a pretty good/balanced plan too. I have actually switched up the oatmeal with potatoes in the past for breakfast with the eggs. I could have chicken and potatoes instead of chicken and rice. Ive actually thought of that myself. I may do that if I ever get tired of the chicken and rice. The potatoes do have a little better micronutrient profile and a good source of potassium. Its just so easy with the chicken and rice.

I would also add calf's liver AND sardines every once in a while, maybe once a week if you can for the omega 3s, pre-formed vitamin A, and copper etc. Vitamin A gets used up often in this stressful world and it helps with immune function among many other vital things.

True, also consider that you need at LEAST 4700mg(4.7grams) of potassium every day to prevent deficiency down the road.

Most people don't get enough our soils used to have much more, it's hard to get enough.

On the surface you would think but really look at the highest potassium foods in his diet...

"The average amount of Potassium in 100g of chicken... is 251.20 mg of Potassium."

"Beans, Kidney 713mg per cup"

"1 banana = 422mg of potassium"

PLUS add the average potassium in all the other foods if any 250mg

= ONLY 1636 milligrams NOT EVEN HALF of what you need which is 4700 milligrams at LEAST.

As for vitamins he doesn't mention taking potassium and multivitamins have very little if any potassium and those that do only have a max of 99mg per pill by law.

He's getting that in the chicken and beans alone....plus he is eating a banana a day and has a multi-vitamin.
Combined that goes waaaaaay over that threshold you listed.

Many of your numbers are quite low.
You may want to go check those again.

Just one example.....

"One banana packs a potassium punch of at least 450 milligrams."
