There are two 'fallen' dimensions of consciousness: the dualistic,'fallen' consciousness of the "self" (referred to in Revelations 13:1 as the "beast of the sea") and the dualistic, 'fallen' consciousness of the 'thinker' (referred to in Revelations 13:11 and Sura 27:82 of the Quran as the "beast of the earth").

In the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus explains how to differentiate between the 'fallen' consciousness and the consciousness Created by and in the image of God' (Genesis 1:27); but the Christian church, out of greed and the lust for power, did not want that information to be widely known.
