I am sure if we all look back we can see.. What made us smile and feel good about ourselves and what and where we stood for. I want to go back before there is no place to go back to.. If that man goes to prison, he's going to get it. You can rob a bank, or do drugs, or just about anything else. But if you hurt a child, the inmates will make your life misearble.

It follows the bigger plan, not to disarm right at this time. I think registration is the goal. If you look at the 23 points that were made in the gun control speech, many had to do with mental health and reporting. They will squeek through some legislation with minor control implemented and the registration factor mostly overlooked. Once they have the registered owner database dealt with, then they will be able to remove your rights due to mental issues.

As a point of concern, much like in the 90's with the big push on ADHD, ADD, etc.. there is a plan to educate teachers, police, clergy and gov't workers on how to spot the "crazy" kids. They will never be allowed to own a firearm because that is in their permanent national education record. Same goes with anyone that has ever been prescribed any anti-depressants, erectile disfunction drugs or any other mentally altering drugs. That data is now in the feds database.

I wish you were right. It just seems like that will only be the beginning. I'm afraid they will use that as a starting point to take them away from everyone, so that they are the only ones with guns when martial law is implemented.

And the criminals will be armed as well.
It seems strange the MSM aren't pushing this. I am confused by that. But, that is my last comment on this situation. I would rather spend positive energy hoping for the boy he has taken in there with him. May God be with him.

Yesterday I was in shock, but today, it really hit me. I was watching the news while holding my daughter ,and I just started to cry. I thought, his mommy can't hold him right now. She can't cook his dinner, or play blocks with him. He can't go to sleep in his warm bed tonight.He's got to be scared to death. How can anyone be so cruel as to do this to an innocent child?

Yes! It's been going on since 3:40 PM on Tuesday. He says if police open the bunker, it will blow up. They say he has enough food and water to last for 30 days. This could go on for a very long time. I am only a few miles from the situation. It hurts my stomach to think about it. How could anyone do this to an innocent child???? That creep will get what's coming to him!

Someone I know made a suggestion. The gunman is obviously a psycho. He won't listen to or cooperate wtih authorities at all.

He's a Vietnam vet. What if they could bring someone he was in the military with to talk to him, someone he repsects? Maybe they could bring in his old platoon leader, or roommate. Someone he connects with would have a better chance of reasoning with him.

I agree, but they seldom, if ever, do that. They need to change that and as long as someone is willing to take the risk, they should let them.

There wouldn't be much risk. They are communicating through a PVC pipe. Noone has gone into the bunker to speak with him. He said if they did, he'd blow them away. I'd just like to give that a shot though.

I don't know what he wants. The sheriff says he can't give us any details for the safety of the child, which I totally understand. The local news keeps doing "updates", but basically they're just repeating the same thing over and over. I literally get knots in my stomach when I think about this. My child or parents should have to go through this.
