Did anybody else hear a reporter say they expected the standoff to last 8 days? Struck me odd that anyone would say they didn't expect the situation to resolve for 8 days.  According to neighbors that is the longest that he has stayed down there by himself. What they need to do is let a "reporter"...cough....swat guy in a suit..go in there and put a taser in the microphone and stun the guy. I am not sure why they dont throw some sleeping gas into the ventilation shaft while he is sleeping.
