so is the purpose of life to just unconditionally love? | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 18077728 United States 01/30/2013 11:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Loving without conditions doesn't mean letting a frat house run a train on you. Having zero conditions for people can only happen when you have reached the magnum opus of understanding. It is the same thing as forgiveness. Forgiving blindly is naive and stupid. But forgiving because you understand motive makes you wise. Being a bobblehead unconditionalist only makes you a victim. |

On a normal planet with ONE nation/people it could have worked, NOT on Earth, the most violent place in this galactic sector. What I believe is that every single human should be trained how to use different weapons (blade-firearms) so that we can talk to each other as equals. Weak minds will defend themselves as "loving souls" and they go down easily. Look at the Dalai Lama, he should be a brave buddhist but he doesn't dare to return back to Tibet, for example. We should be heavily trained in Martial Arts before we could express great love. |

WE LIVE BECAUSE WE LIVE AND ALWAYS BE. that's all it's been this whole time. if you want to learn to love unconditionally..that's because you are highly evolved! it's all a choice of HOW you want to live... but the purpose is to live. |

And the Golden Rule can be found in every religion and noble philosophy, do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Life really is that simple. And the rewards are immeasurable. In an attempt to teach our spirits, a complex classroom for the spirit so to speak. Quoting: Coma Patient #7 so the gnostic concept of being put here against your will doesn't resonate with you? We need to do a lot of things we may not wish to do, most often they are things that will benefit us in the long run "like school". However, I think I wanted to be here at this point, but I could just be delusional. ;) |

Our connections mirror ourselves back to us--learn why you love, hate and fear. You can never truly know another, only love and support them. Having unconditional love for yourself can be more tricky than it sounds. "You can bend it and twist it... You can misuse and abuse it... But even God cannot change the Truth.” Michael Levy |
