Loving without conditions doesn't mean letting a frat house run a train on you.

Having zero conditions for people can only happen when you have reached the magnum opus of understanding. It is the same thing as forgiveness. Forgiving blindly is naive and stupid. But forgiving because you understand motive makes you wise.

Being a bobblehead unconditionalist only makes you a victim.

Yeah, unconditional love = Extinction.
On a normal planet with ONE nation/people it could have worked, NOT on Earth, the most violent place in this galactic sector.

What I believe is that every single human should be trained how to use different weapons (blade-firearms) so that we can talk to each other as equals. Weak minds will defend themselves as "loving souls" and they go down easily.

Look at the Dalai Lama, he should be a brave buddhist but he doesn't dare to return back to Tibet, for example.

We should be heavily trained in Martial Arts before we could express great love.

but then you would crush your "enemy" and when he was on his knees with no ego left, you would feel his pain inside and ask yourself if what you did gave you the outcome you wanted...i have been equipped with the armor and defense that you talk about and it gave me poor results

nah. the purpose of life is to live.

that's all it will EVER BE.

WE LIVE BECAUSE WE LIVE AND ALWAYS BE.

that's all it's been this whole time.

if you want to learn to love unconditionally..that's because you are highly evolved!

it's all a choice of HOW you want to live...

but the purpose is to live.

The purpose of life is simply to live. To experience life in this modality.

Every Great and well known philosopher and religious leader have one quote in common, You reap what you sow.

And the Golden Rule can be found in every religion and noble philosophy, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Life really is that simple.

And the rewards are immeasurable.

I'm with the others in thinking it's about experiencing life and learning from these experiences. In an attempt to teach our spirits, a complex classroom for the spirit so to speak.

I believe the meaning of life is Connection.

As all things mimic this relationship...

What arises out of the connection is either balanced or imbalanced or somewhere in between.

We need to do a lot of things we may not wish to do, most often they are things that will benefit us in the long run "like school". However, I think I wanted to be here at this point, but I could just be delusional. ;)

Know thyself.

We come into this world alone and leave alone.

Our connections mirror ourselves back to us--learn why you love, hate and fear.

You can never truly know another, only love and support them.

Having unconditional love for yourself can be more tricky than it sounds.
