Speaking of stage directions:

At 1:59 notice the woman in the pink shirt and black vest enter the screen at the top left. She is carrying a notebook or paper of some type and looks like she's texting. The lady dressed in dark clothes who had given other people directions, stopped her to say something. Then the woman in the pink shirt and black vest runs into the crowd of people and looks like she is delivering a message or something, others crowd around her. Then that's it. They all disperse as if whatever she said had no impact on them at all.

I didn't notice this at first because I was watching creepy Gene.
