Be interesting to see what goes offline on Feb. 15  Even if there is not a direct hit, would not a drive-by cause major disruption..? I can't imagine something that close having zero effect. Electrical discharge or something may be a factor. As far as the asteroid having enough mass to shift the 'bird' our of orbit by gravity...I imagine it would have to be extremely close for any of that kind of effect, if it even would have an effect.
