Briefie, as crazy as this sounds, I just went to bed as it's late here in the UK, but something was playing on my mind.

I have seen a lot of life, however, in 2011, something shocked me to my core.

It was a case of animal abuse at an Ohio dairy farm, and although as a defender of animals myself having seen awful things, this disturbed me, and I mean disturbed me.

I would like to hear your response to to my next question, I know you are a family guy and the devotion I know you have to your family is admirable.

In this case, the guy used to beat the diary cows round the head to see how much he could get their heads to swell through fluid inflammation so he couldn't even get them through the crush.

Your thoughts?

Serious question mate, the dog stuff will come in the week because if the truth be told I should be in the shower and getting ready for tomorrow, but I am concerned.

For people who don't feel like they want the responsibility of gun ownership, a very effective weapon that's cheap, reliable, that gets the job done, and that cane wielded from an effective distance between yourself and your attacker:

wasp spray.

You know, the wheel gun reliability thing is sort of a myth. While often reliable, when a wheel gun failure occurs it's typically with the cylinder/cylinder mech. Often when they fail they need gunsmithing to repair.

Glocks are the most reliable SD pistols you can carry. The 26 is particularly well suited to CC. Any of the sub compacts are a great choice though..

What I see today is the worship of animals while those same people generally will accept abortion as good...

Further I see that people worship animals and nature to the point of raising them above humans, which makes me as sick as your horror over the cow beating psychopath...

As for me, I love my Glocks, but I like the idea of a safety on my nightstand gun. Not sure why, just do, probably reduce the risk of a sleepy accident, but it also adds to the number of steps required to take down an intruder. Tough call. Right now I'm using a Beretta PX4 9mm with a stream light on it. Long guns and scatter gun not far away.

Re: What is your choice of weapon to protect yourself?
Several years ago i was out hiking, when i heard some rustling coming from a nearby shrub as i closed in on the offending foliage for a closer look i was leaped upon and had my right arm savaged by what i could only describe as a feral dog/wolf, the beast ran off and i made it to the nearest hospital. I was kept in over night, and i didn't have to pay anything because the UK has a national health service unlike the U.S OF GAY.

Anyway a few nights later i was clambering out of the bath when i caught sight of my rippling ripped massively muscular super defined body in the mirror and couldn't help noticing a little thicker than normal chest hair, i thought nothing of it until later that night when in bed i was dreaming i was running down the main street ripping peoples heads clean off with a single swipe, before urination down their gaping blood gorged throats, where their heads had once so pompously sat.

I stopped in front of a HMV display window( yes this was before they went bust). looking at the pain of glass i was SHOCKED!!!! staring back at me was a 8-9ft tall demonic looking bipedal wolf like creature with blood red eyes and fangs like sharpened bananas. the shock of seeing myself instantly changed me back to my super ripped Olympian god like bodied self. Over the next few weeks i learned to control the transformation process upon where i could change at will.
So in answer to your question my weapon of choice would have to be a paperclip dipped in Windolene and a home made pepper spray made of 100% Johnson and Johnsons no more tears shampoo ;).

Well, if you don't shoot it frequently at the range (or wherever you plink), it probably won't fail when/if you need it.

I put a lot of rounds down range, and revolvers are more prone to failure when shot frequently. The gases ejecting from the sides (the gap between the cylinder and the barrel) are hard on revolvers that are shot a lot.
