This will open up a whole slew of avenues for you and yours, especially if you live in a near-equatorial climate like myself in terms of actually bugging out into the wilderness, but also for our more northerly brothers and sisters to keep warm (perhaps bugging-in) indefinitely. I also recommend not necessarily buying retail one of the pre-assembled, say 1800 watt solar panel/generator kits, but assembling one yourself. These take minimal electrician knowledge (you can do the research online in a day, I'm sure there are plenty of schematics and how-to videos), as well as often being more than 100% cheaper than purchasing one retail. When buying a pre-assembled kit, you're mostly paying for the labor, whereas the components and DIY education are cheap, and the information is free online!
