It may be possible that families profit from wars. This profit blinds and deafens them for generations. The loyalty is to defend that which has provided for them. Oh, that and group-think.

I'm rather disgusted myself. It's never the common people. It's the psychopaths in charge unfortunately who view us as collateral damage. The average US citizen has more in common with the average Iraqi or Iranian than any of their politicians or Muslim caliphates.

There are a few grains of salt you have to take with this place

1) Aside from a few very intelligent people who use this forum to exchange ideas in exciting new areas of technology and metaphysics, the average intelligence level is quite low.

2) This place is populated with many Christian fundamentalists who believe that a large-scale nuclear tribulation type event is called-for by the bible and needed by mankind.

3) The anonymity, even if using a handle name, allows people to go beyond their true colors and just be out-right extreme and angry. They are probably not such bad people but they are tired of the BS but have no personal outlet in life.

Iran has the option for peace, they even have the option of nuclear generated energy. What they don't have is the option to enrich to weapons grade levels, as the only purpose in that level of enrichment is for a weapons system. Whether or not they choose to follow those simple rules, there won't be any issues. The ball is in their court.

I personally hope everything calms way down, this constant teetering on the edge of a third world war is disgusting.

Yeah its sad after thousands of years, were still killing each other, most of the time it's probably not even worth it at all. It's even scarier now that we have WMD's, missles, automatic weapons, war ships, jet fighters and etc. If we continue to try and find more beefed up weapons, we'll one day just blast each other back to the stone age, and destroy our planet in the process. At least I hope this fate doesn't end up happening..
