Go reread history. this argument cannot be won, because you can't go back and try not dropping the bomb. but japan had lasted three months before the bomb was dropped, the invasion of the home islands was due in november (and the invasion of burma before that) and, since it took almost a year for the germans to fall when attacked from two sides by enemies with way shorter supply lines than the us would have had in japan, my money is on brief being right about whether japan would have collapsed quickly. |

When you are attached to someone and they slip and fall and they take you with them... its common practice and common knowledge among climbers to cut themselves loose from the person they are hanging from if the rope/and or brace cannot hold the weight... Its better to sacrifice yourself... than take your fellow climber with you... Sometimes the person on the bottom doesnt have a knife to cut the rope... and the person above them does... You probably doesnt understand where I am going with this... So i'll put it like this... Before you let someone pull you down to your death... you got to cut them loose...
