I don't get a couple things...

It's common knowledge that large parties will get an automatic tip added to their check. Why would the pastor even make a point about this?

Why would a pastor donate 10% of their salary? This is a tithe that the Jews used to give to the temple. I know this has carried over to many of the Protestants. But if you are running a church your salary is coming from the donations. Why would the pastor then donate money back to their own church? It doesn't make sense.

Might be a dumb question, but can someone clarify what "10% to God" means?

Besides, Applebees privacy policy is clear regarding privacy. The waitress was not authorized to release any personally identifying information, which the receipt clearly shows a name.

Black woman pastor gives award ceremony for her large church each year at this not naming it ...fancy place. She sends associate to check things out ahead of time. Associate yells and screams at staff about this and that better be done before we come in here! NEVER done by anyone else EVER during the rest of the entire year by people renting this place for weddings, meetings, etc. etc. It costs about 40,000 dollars to rent this area.

I waited tables in a very upscale restaurant years ago. We had a jazz night where notable artists came and played. Almost all our customers were black on that night. All the Cognac would be drunk ( very expensive) not a table in the house empty all night and waiting line outside. WE KNEW we would not be tipped. Some of us made 25.00 or so that night. Most busy nights on average we made 90.00 to 125.00 dollars. The manager used to pay us in cash to work that night because it was understood...they would not tip. It was awful and I tried never to let that get in my heart and make me prejudice but I watched it happen to me and others.

I thought America was a free country?

So what if he didn't tip? Isn't it his right to choose not to do it? Maybe the service was crap.
