Russian Rocket Carrying US Intel Satalite Crashes Shortly After Take Off.
So have the Russians finally realized helping the US put Intel satalites into space is not suvh a good idea afterall?

A Russian-made Zenith-3SL rocket carrying a US-made Intelsat-27 satellite has crashed into the ocean minutes after being launched from a platform in the Pacific Ocean. Ground control lost contact with the rocket, Itar-Tass reported.

"[The rocket] fell close to the Odyssey floating platform used to perform the launch. Neither the floating launch pad, nor the vessel with the flight control unit have been damaged," Itar-Tass reported, quoting an industry source.

Ukraine and Russia are not the same country.
Them having different names gives it away.

Intelsat* is a multi-national.
This rocket was launched by Sea Launch, another international corporation, the Ukrainian manufacturers of the failed rocket stage are part owners.

Why would anyone sane sabotage their own business?
If the Zenith-3SL is no longer considered safe the costumers will just shop elsewhere.
So if it was sabotage, it would be by the competition.

*Intel stands for International Telecommunications, NOT intelligence.
The "national assets" of the United States are launched from the United States with US made launchers by US companies under great security.

Re: Russian Rocket Carrying US Intel Satalite Crashes Shortly After Take Off.
I think it is ok to launch US astronauts with Russian astronauts and pay for the ride. It is cheaper than a shuttle launch.

We are still in a Cold War/Economic War with Russia not a high trust level. This is why I ask the question whay are we outsourcing a "secret intell unit" launch with Russia. We have more than enough capabilities at Edwards AFB and the Cape? Also we have Delta rockets ready to go so why would we out-source this sensitive launch?

Now this is a poor idea.

"We"'re not.

OP just read it wrong.
The launch was an Intelsat, NOT an intel sat.
