Lisa, why do you insist posting threads and pinning them when no one wants to see it? This is a conspiracy site... not a religion site. I just think your effort is useless here. Just saying, I'm not saying you should leave or anything.. I just don't see the point of what you post.

She gets off on telling everyone they should believe what she believes.

It's pure unadulterated arrogance.

Agreed. As if her threads aren't constantly one-starred because no one wants to see this type evangelistic bible parroting over and over on a conspiracy/alternative news site. Lisa, why not post your threads where they will be more effective and where the majority of people welcome them, say, a religion/Christianity-based forum?

what about non-religious holidays like the 4th of July or Thanksgiving?

Nope......none of it....nothing.

The only holiday we celebrate in our household anymore is Thanksgiving.

Yea, I can see why people like Thanksgiving. I just can't get past the whole Indian massacre and genocide part.....I feel like the traditional holiday story is a big lie.
Maybe it's a flaw on my part to feel this way but if a day has something like that attached to it, I just can't get past it myself.

Re: Bible Says Current Civilization Will Last 6000 Years
My problem with this whole "The Earth is 6000 years old" stuff and the belief in the tribulation, rapture, etc. is that it leads people into complacency.

If the "End" is still several years (or even 200 years) off, and Jesus is going to come and save the believers and fix everything, there is no need to take any responsibility for the state that our world is in, right? We can just sit back and let Jesus do everything.

It reminds me of the whole "saved" thing. It doesn't seem to matter how much of a sinner you are, but if you just accept Jesus as your lord and savior, everything's A-OK.

Well, I do believe in Jesus, but I also believe in science and using the reasoning faculties that God gave us. I believe in taking care of Mother Earth and all it's creatures and habitats, not just expecting Jesus to fix everything.

Also, I don't believe we have several years. Many, many signs point to 2013 or 2014 being very memorable, shall we say. My higher self has confirmed this.

But if you think that you don't need to do anything to prepare because Jesus is going to save you because that's what your preacher told you, well, I feel sorry for you. :(

Re: Bible Says Current Civilization Will Last 6000 Years
I believe 2015-1017 is significant somehow and this video kind of confirmed it for me personally.

Matthew 8:9 ""What do you want with us, Son of God?" they shouted. "Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?"

There is an appointed time.....it is spelled out in the
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

The appointed time for demons is the end of the 'little season' that Satan has after he has been unchained at the end of the 1,000 year reign.

Men get judged at the beginning of the 1.000 years reign. This is when time reverts back to being as it was in the time of Noah, a 'day' is 1,000 years in time as we know it.
The ones sent to hell as a punishment are punished for 1 day if God's day is used. That period of referencing time changed with the introduction of the 10 Commandments. Twisting the 1,000 year reign could easily change it into 360,000 years'.

Apocrypha and Lost Scriptures also:

The Gospel of Bartholomew 16-17 "And Beliar said unto Hades: Look carefully who it is that , for it is Elias, or Enoch, or one of the prophets that this man seemeth to me to be. But Hades answered Death and said: Not yet are six thousand years accomplished."
The Letter of Barnabas 15:3-5 "This refers to the Sabbath at the beginning of creation:"God made the works of his hands in six days, and he finished on the seventh day; and he rested on it and made it holy. Pay attention, children, to what it means that "he finished in six days". This means that in six thousand years the Lord will complete all things. For with him a day represents a thousand years. He himself testifies that I am right, when he says, "See, a day of the Lord will be like a thousand years." And so, children, all things will be completed in six days - that is to say, in six thousand years. "And he rested on the seventh day." This means that when his Son comes he will put an end to the age of the lawless one, judge the impious, and alter the sun, moon, and stars; then he will indeed rest on the seventh day."
 Quoting:

Let's say the end of day 7 was when God exiled everybody from the garden. 4.004 BC and (the equal to) passover can even be the day if you like. Would the 6,000 you are referencing not start from when Enoch spoke the words into prophecy? No way to ever pin that day down but there is a definite end and a beginning that leaves a 360 year margin of error.

Hell doesn't exist for Gentiles until the day the 7th trump sounds and men are punished in 3 1/2 hours after the two witnesses are resurrected, (start of one day with God, just before the end of that one day Satan and all fallen angels are released from the Pit and they are sent to the fiery lake)
Adam died at the age of 930 years, 70 years short of a 'full day'. Being just short of one day with God so the eating and dieing on the same day did happen as prophecised.

As with everything in the bible, there is a lesser and greater fulfillment. Creation in 6 days in Genesis mirrors the building of God's Kingdom over the last 6000 years. The 7th day Sabbath in Genesis mirrors the 1000 year millennial reign of Christ at the end of the 6000 years of creation, which is just about here now.
 Quoting:

The establishment of the kingdom starts with the sound of the 7th trump, we are in a period in which the two bruises of Ge:3:15 have to unfold.

So did the year long flood really represent an ice-age that lasted 360,000 years? and then have a shorter one in 2300BC?

The vials of Re:16 are supposed to be a mirror of the plagues in Egypt. The vials get poured out om 3 hours starting at noon if that is the time the two witnesses ar4e raised. The rest of my version of the afternoon is based on how it went the afternoon of the cross. From the 6th to the 9th hour Jesus was under control of Gentiles until He died at 3PM, that is how long it takes to pour out all 7 vials on the world. From 3PM to 6PM people from the 12 Tribes will be coming out of the graves in Israel as defined by OT borders and Jesus will put together the house of prayer that will house the throne for the 1,000 years.
In the Nations 1/3 of the population will survive the vials and they will be joined by resurrected Gentiles that fit the list in Re:20:4.
They are the very first that will be immortal and sinless, that is where the Kingdom of God is created.

Since the population for the 1,000 years is a static number knowing when that number is reached is like knowing when the population of the people on earth over 20 years of age will be 6.66B as being when the 6th trump sounds, from there it is 1110 day until; the 7th trump sounds.

We are nearing the end of the 6000 years of creation now, and getting ready to enter into the millennial reign of Christ, the greater fulfillment of the 7th day Sabbath with Jesus ruling the earth for 1000 years.
 Quoting:

Wasn't the exile from the garden on morning of day 8?

If you can create the conditions in Exe:47 you will have found how to become immortal. Yes it does mean being able to turn the Dead Sea into a fresh Water pond, if you can't do that you are not God.

Well, if you believe in the Bible, it says that Jesus is going to come and destroy His enemies and those who are ruining the earth.

It also says that this world right now is in the hands of the evil one, and will continue to be so until Jesus returns.

This is prophecy. Most christians believe what the bible says.

I also believing in doing my best to take care of His creation, but in the big picture, I can't stop the ruining of it and the atrocities that occur on a daily basis around the world, and frankly, neither can you.

Jesus really is the only one who can. My trust is in Him.

Jesus came to tell the good news that man has grown into a THINKING BEING. That GOD the FATHER WAS NOW WITHIN HIS MIND. Thinking requires discrimination of material. Christ does not save anyone. You are saved into eternal life by your own ability to CHOOSE IT. And you are eternal anyway, unless YOU REJECT YOUR ETERNAL LIFE. JESUS taught that man must understand God by understanding Nature and those that would not think that far, and look around and understand would remain forever fools. Or at least until they did. YOUR ETERNAL LIFE AND YOUR SPIRITUAL PROGRESS IS IN YOUR HANDS and not anyone else's.

Me: Why don't you post your content some place where it will be better received?

You: Because you won't be reading it.

Me: What does it matter if it's going to bother me either way?

You: *inserts random picture*

I answered your question, you just didn't like the answer. A picture speaks a thousand words.
