Re: Police state gone wild: Couple facing 60 days in jail for rescuing injured baby deer
An Indiana couple saved a wounded baby deer and nursed it back to life, saving its life and giving it a home. They named it "Little Orphan Dani." When Indiana state officials got word of this courageous act of compassion, they ordered the deer euthanized. (Because government wants to kill everything you love.)

When the deer "escaped" right before it was schedule to be killed -- and yes, I think the couple probably set it free rather than have it killed -- the man and woman were charged with unlawful possession of a deer.

They now face $2,000 in fines and 60 days in jail.

This is yet another example of the government police state gone wild, and it's on top of seemingly countless other stories of similar police state insanity such as armed government raids on raw milk distributors.

There are laws

It's tha Same for raccoons

How about a pet Elk or a pet moose

Let's make pets out of bears

How about mountain lion cub for a pet??

Don't bitch about what you don't know about!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 989322

A bear, raccoon, and mountain lion are not the same as a deer.

What inherent risk of violence does a deer have to injure humans?

police state gone wild? Thats nothing compared to this.

Feds seized nearly 1,500 guns in raid from gun collector.

he has yet to be charged with a crime.

Four search warrants filed Thursday show the HSI investigators seized nearly 900 firearms from Adams' home. There were 548 handguns and 317 rifles listed in the warrant return inventory.

They also searched his office that day taking 599 pistols and revolvers.

Adams has not been charged with any crimes although Homeland Security said the investigation is not over yet.

Neighbors said Adams was a gun collector, and some heard he was a licensed gun seller, too.

Yes, it is called NDAA. National Defense Authorization Act of 2011. The President can name any American, living abroad or within the United States to be held indefinitely, without charge, without access to an attorney.

So, he may never see the light of day again, never even be charged. All completely, 100% legal.

What I wish would happen is for an astute, liberty loving attorney to take this case pro bono. Perhaps a budding, fresh out of law school attorney who has just passed the BAR looking to make a name for himself.

Argue: Under what pretense does the STATE of INDIANA claim ownership of the deer? Did the state create the deer? Does the state care for the deer?

Alas, no attorney with any aspirations would ever take this case. Why, you ask? Because the law racket is a racket. The judges, federal/state/district attorneys as well as private attorneys are all in collusion to create as much wealth for themselves as possible. They all say, "No upsetting the apple cart from any angle, just 'play the game' and everyone of 'us' gets to be rich and powerful."
 Quoting: The Sonic Dreamer

They have 38 thousands likes on their facebook pg; that's actually where I first learned of this deer debacle. One of my bleeding hearts shared...lol.

So just maybe some attorney will take it. I mean it is such an absurd tale from all angles.

The State, the State...we are all afraid of the STATE!
 Quoting: Organic Light

itis perfectly normal to be "afraid" of the insane, who arenot confined in their proper places.

The amount of the fine was also insane.

If a government office is able to finance themselves via fines etc, they arenot allowed to put in for money for their office via Federal Dept. to maintain their office.

That is why We The People need to know how much money our local, government offices are making on fines, bake sales, gun-running, graft, etc. Itis to prevent them from soliciting our Federal Dept. for more money than what theyare "Entittled", by law, for their allotted budget.

It is in the interest of Tyrants to reduce the people to Ignorance and Vice. For they cannot live in any Country where Virtue and Knowledge prevail. The religion and public Liberty of a People are intimately connected; their Interests are interwoven, they cannot subsist separately; and therefore they rise and fall together. For this Reason, it is always observable, that those who are combined to destroy the People’s Liberties, practice every Art to poison their Morals. Sam Adams

and what would the coyote have eaten? The state wanted to euthanize the deer.

Doubt they would throw it in the trash, but it's a punishment for worshiping nature and fucking with the balance...

The DNR do a fantastic job of maintaining a balance of our natural resources, they only need our help to kill what needs to be killed to maintain that balance, not to nurture it.
 Quoting: BRIEF

They do a fantastic job? You sure have some issues, if you think animals being murder for no reason, is considered a "fantastic" job.

And overpopulation of animals is BS, Nature has handled herself for thousands of years without humans euthanizing animals.

What did this act of kindness toward a fellow creature do to harm anyone else? It's in most people's human nature to not want something to suffer. If the state of Indiana has a problem with people not wanting an animal to suffer or die because people want to help out at no cost to anyone else, they obviously just want the suffering to take place.

Really sad.

I understand the concern on both sides. (devils advocate)

I understand the couple didn't want the deer to die and wanted to assist (just like we don't want to die and have doctors)

However, i understand too the laws of nature.

The point is - for this couple to get 60 days in jail when we have drunks doing an overnighter after they hit a telephone poll - that's just crazy!

TPTB should let the people know, going forward don't do this again - blah blah blah.

No matter what the principle is - the punishment does not fit the crime :(

sad

Well, There are many ways to look at things, but to think that any creature is more important than another is a bit arrogant. Given our nature the dirtying of our environment is natural. Any species that grows to an excessive population will overrun everything and put things out of balance, but not to worry that won't last forever.

If it was an illegal act then why argue with the police. Gather a conscensus and urge law makers to change the law. If there is no law or it is vague then fight it.

Nature is cruel sometimes, but that's just the way it is. Don't mess with mother nature too much or she'll bite.

Here is a list of 8 things to look for when trying to identify false flag psychological operations.
1. Staged events usually receive immediate national news coverage
2. There is a political agenda behind the coverage (gun control)
3. The incident inspires intense emotions (Dead kids)
4. Initial media reports conflict eyewitness accounts
5. No dead bodies are shown to the public
6. Celebrities are used to influence the public
7. Presence of mainstream media manipulation tactics
8. The Federal Government give attention to a local story

Question Everything.

When any institution is infiltrated by liberals, that institution no longer serves it's original purpose and instead becomes a social engineering vehicle to push a far left fascist agenda. Liberty and liberals are like oil and water.
