Police state gone wild: Couple facing 60 days in jail for rescuing injured baby deer
An Indiana couple saved a wounded baby deer and nursed it back to life, saving its life and giving it a home. They named it "Little Orphan Dani." When Indiana state officials got word of this courageous act of compassion, they ordered the deer euthanized. (Because government wants to kill everything you love.)

When the deer "escaped" right before it was schedule to be killed -- and yes, I think the couple probably set it free rather than have it killed -- the man and woman were charged with unlawful possession of a deer.

They now face $2,000 in fines and 60 days in jail.

This is yet another example of the government police state gone wild, and it's on top of seemingly countless other stories of similar police state insanity such as armed government raids on raw milk distributors.

What's next? Are they going to go after you if you nurse a sparrow back to health?

A friend of mine ran over a squirrel out of season on the way to go fishing...he picked it up and put it in his cooler to take home and eat.

DNR guy stopped by and asked why he had the squirrel and then gave him a ticket for taking it out of season, he said if you run over one let it lay and other critters will come clean it up...

Keep your good deeds secret, you never know what insane law you may have broken. What next help a little old lady across the street and get arrested for acting as a crossing guard without certification?

Infact all I think when I read this is; what a ridiculous waste of resources and what a perfect meal they just created for someone.

But it is nature/natural to pick up vulnerable babies and nuture them whether they be animal or human instead of letting nature take its course.

You can't nurse a sparrow back to health without a Federal Wildlife Rehabilitation License issued by your state Fish & Game.
You have to have a veterinarian to assist you and they come and inspect your rehab facilities before issuing a license.

What I wish would happen is for an astute, liberty loving attorney to take this case pro bono. Perhaps a budding, fresh out of law school attorney who has just passed the BAR looking to make a name for himself.

Argue: Under what pretense does the STATE of INDIANA claim ownership of the deer? Did the state create the deer? Does the state care for the deer?

Alas, no attorney with any aspirations would ever take this case. Why, you ask? Because the law racket is a racket. The judges, federal/state/district attorneys as well as private attorneys are all in collusion to create as much wealth for themselves as possible. They all say, "No upsetting the apple cart from any angle, just 'play the game' and everyone of 'us' gets to be rich and powerful."

police state gone wild? Thats nothing compared to this.

Feds seized nearly 1,500 guns in raid from gun collector.

he has yet to be charged with a crime.

Four search warrants filed Thursday show the HSI investigators seized nearly 900 firearms from Adams' home. There were 548 handguns and 317 rifles listed in the warrant return inventory.

They also searched his office that day taking 599 pistols and revolvers.

Adams has not been charged with any crimes although Homeland Security said the investigation is not over yet.

Neighbors said Adams was a gun collector, and some heard he was a licensed gun seller, too.

Yes, it is called NDAA. National Defense Authorization Act of 2011. The President can name any American, living abroad or within the United States to be held indefinitely, without charge, without access to an attorney.

So, he may never see the light of day again, never even be charged. All completely, 100% legal.
