Police state gone wild: Couple facing 60 days in jail for rescuing injured baby deer | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 5141990 United States 02/01/2013 11:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What I wish would happen is for an astute, liberty loving attorney to take this case pro bono. Perhaps a budding, fresh out of law school attorney who has just passed the BAR looking to make a name for himself. Quoting: The Sonic Dreamer Argue: Under what pretense does the STATE of INDIANA claim ownership of the deer? Did the state create the deer? Does the state care for the deer? Alas, no attorney with any aspirations would ever take this case. Why, you ask? Because the law racket is a racket. The judges, federal/state/district attorneys as well as private attorneys are all in collusion to create as much wealth for themselves as possible. They all say, "No upsetting the apple cart from any angle, just 'play the game' and everyone of 'us' gets to be rich and powerful." They have 38 thousands likes on their facebook pg; that's actually where I first learned of this deer debacle. One of my bleeding hearts shared...lol. So just maybe some attorney will take it. I mean it is such an absurd tale from all angles. |

The amount of the fine was also insane. If a government office is able to finance themselves via fines etc, they arenot allowed to put in for money for their office via Federal Dept. to maintain their office. That is why We The People need to know how much money our local, government offices are making on fines, bake sales, gun-running, graft, etc. Itis to prevent them from soliciting our Federal Dept. for more money than what theyare "Entittled", by law, for their allotted budget. |

Doubt they would throw it in the trash, but it's a punishment for worshiping nature and fucking with the balance... The DNR do a fantastic job of maintaining a balance of our natural resources, they only need our help to kill what needs to be killed to maintain that balance, not to nurture it. They do a fantastic job? You sure have some issues, if you think animals being murder for no reason, is considered a "fantastic" job. And overpopulation of animals is BS, Nature has handled herself for thousands of years without humans euthanizing animals. |

(devils advocate) I understand the couple didn't want the deer to die and wanted to assist (just like we don't want to die and have doctors) However, i understand too the laws of nature. The point is - for this couple to get 60 days in jail when we have drunks doing an overnighter after they hit a telephone poll - that's just crazy! TPTB should let the people know, going forward don't do this again - blah blah blah. No matter what the principle is - the punishment does not fit the crime :( That's totally messed up! Don't get mad - Get a Pepsi! |

scimitar User ID: 26371609 United States 02/01/2013 12:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, There are many ways to look at things, but to think that any creature is more important than another is a bit arrogant. Given our nature the dirtying of our environment is natural. Any species that grows to an excessive population will overrun everything and put things out of balance, but not to worry that won't last forever. If it was an illegal act then why argue with the police. Gather a conscensus and urge law makers to change the law. If there is no law or it is vague then fight it. Nature is cruel sometimes, but that's just the way it is. Don't mess with mother nature too much or she'll bite. Anonymous Coward User ID: 4730959 United States 02/01/2013 12:39 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | An Indiana couple saved a wounded baby deer and nursed it back to life, saving its life and giving it a home. They named it "Little Orphan Dani." When Indiana state officials got word of this courageous act of compassion, they ordered the deer euthanized. (Because government wants to kill everything you love.) Quoting: Dr. Ben Schillen When the deer "escaped" right before it was schedule to be killed -- and yes, I think the couple probably set it free rather than have it killed -- the man and woman were charged with unlawful possession of a deer. They now face $2,000 in fines and 60 days in jail. This is yet another example of the government police state gone wild, and it's on top of seemingly countless other stories of similar police state insanity such as armed government raids on raw milk distributors. [link to informationliberation.com] What's next? Are they going to go after you if you nurse a sparrow back to health? Duh....yep. |

If there is a creator-god, maybe it is anarchistic? Actually, at some point in our evolution we will not need any laws...I don't need laws as I have no desire to harm anyone or anything...don't misunderstand, there is the necessity to kill, but it's not a desire...laws are for idiots who have no morality or simply lack intelligence. Anonymous Coward User ID: 33405435 United States 02/01/2013 12:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is childs play. What These people did should not be considered a crime at all. So they nursed a deer back to health. As long as they planned on letting it go afterwards I see no problem with what they did. If anything they gave the deer a chance to either live a long life, become dinner for a hunter, or for some animal that chose to hunt it. Either way it made its way back into the woods for another chance at what the fuck ever. But the state has a problem with this? fucking bullshit. If a state can dictate whether you can nurse an animal of nature or not, then they will be dictating whether you have the right to nurse YOURSELF or not. |
