My point is that these types of "intellectual discussions" are encouraged by society and TPTB and portrayed as a wise and good thing, when in reality it diverts attention away from the issue. If you don't know what I mean, just ask any politician a simple 'yes' or 'no' question, and then pay attention to their response.
