Re: Are divorced Christians condemned to hell?
Listen to this as if it were the first time hearing it:

"1Then Jesus spoke to the crowds and to His disciples,2saying: “The scribes and the Pharisees have seated themselves in the chair of Moses;3therefore all that they tell you, do and observe, but do not do according to their deeds; for they say things and do not do them.4“They tie up heavy burdens and lay them on men’s shoulders, but they themselves are unwilling to move them with so much as a finger.5“But they do all their deeds to be noticed by men; for they broaden their phylacteries and lengthen the tassels of their garments." Matthew 23: 1-5

Don't listen to some Internet prophet telling you what to do. Don't let them place heavy burdens upon your shoulders. These folks serve Satan, for Satan want you to cling to your sin. As long as you're doing that and feeling condemnation, then Satan and you are interfering with God's plan for you.

There is a high percentage chance that these Internet prophets are either evil or mentally ill. Why in the world would you yield your soul to them?

Go spend some time in church in prayer. Listen to your pastor. Go serve the church by your time, talent, and treasure. Become unburdened by agape love and by worshiping YHWH and Yeshua. Jesus should be your focus, not your sin. Ask for forgiveness and yield yours to God.

Yes they are. Jesus says anyone who commits any sin is condemned to hell. There is no way out of this. Jesus gives parables of how to overcome going to hell but only very few will be able to achieve this. Jesus did not come to

There are only 2 Biblical reasons for divorce, adultery and death of the spouse.
 Quoting: anonymous 6712304

Do you think that just?

What if a wife has a husband who beats the hell out of her twice a week.

Would you advise her not to divorce and would you think it just to condemn her to hell for marrying another as scriptures do?

Nobody lives without sin, do they?

The ot was a book of forgiveness based on tribal entitlement and the franchise to overtake all others.
The nt was a book of requesting and being granted forgiveness out of earnest desire to adhere to a standard that in all truth is impossible to mortal man.

Most "marriages" are not joined together by God as in thru him, in him, with him. They are joined together by laws, oaths and customs.

So the answer is no.
 Quoting: Pyractomena borealis

Then all married Christians are not married in the eyes of God and are living in sin and you have condemned even more Christians than the 60% that I thought. Ok.

I thought they were just on their poor morals in other issues but thanks for confirming what I thought.

A question or two OP:

Why is it your business?

Why can't you just leave it to YOUR god?

It would seem if there is a god that the matter would be between him/her/it and the individual not you, god and the individual.

Don't read the bible much do you and if you do you didn't absorb the material very well!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10372663

I did and love my neighbor and think I would go insane in heaven as I would be forced to watch most of my friends and family roast in hell forever.

Strange that you, a Christian who is to love his neighbor more than I do have no social conscience at all.

So you make the claim that god needs a secular for profit state to sanction what they choose to call a 'marriage'?

In all of the nt there is not one instance of Jesus handing out forms or collecting fees for choosing to believe his teachings

Are divorced Christians condemned to hell?

One of God’s main rules is on divorce and his policy is ---- let no man put asunder.
[link to bibleapps.com]

IOW, there are no excuses for divorce and it is a sin to do it.

This view is enforced by Jesus and he chastised Moses for adding terms for divorce.

Divorced Christians, ---- statistics show up to 60% of all Christians, ---- are thus living in sin and I wondered if Christians thought that they were condemned because of their choice to divorce.

If you are a divorced Christian, do you think God’s policy just and if not, why do you remain a condemned Christian?

Regards
DL
 Quoting: Greatest I am

you are full of BS too. It is the goal on this planet in due time for people to make permanent marriages. The shit on this world does not create conditions yet for that. There is no hell and stop suggesting there is. There are only low grade planets for dark ignorant and sometimes mean people to live on until they grow in spiritual stature. Moses didn't add any terms to divorce, the OT is corrupted.

Jesus confirmed God's law in the N T but you are right, Christianity is quite corrupted.

Y'all are so silly. The things you dream up. The things you worry about.

How can we know? What can you possibly do to second guess God?

Why not instead believe in Jesus with all your heart, mind, your strength? Love your neighbor as yourself. Avoid sin and ask for forgiveness. Feed His sheep and tend His lambs. Do the things he specifically asked Christians to do in Matthew 25.

Live now, this is the only Earthly life and stop concentraing on the next one. Leave that to YHWH.

There's only one unforgiveable sin, the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12). Avoid doing that.

Spend 99 % of your time on these things. They should be filling up your hours.

That of course is not of God, so why people by this devil's story is beyond me. Jesus cannot save a single person. He cannot die for you and did not. He was murdered, plain and simple. Except he survived and went to Damascus and later to India. Your bible tells you he survived the cross, but you prefer the fairy tale version of his resurrection that did not happen. Jesus was and is a very old eternal soul and needed no resurrection.

Re: Are divorced Christians condemned to hell?
I always took it..abusive and hateful words , because I listened to pastors saying GOD hates a divorcing, and if I left, God would leave me. I talked to them, on what he is really like behind closed doors, and they would'nt listen to me, and would give my husband even more resposibilities within the congregation.

I was in an abusive marriage since high school, 19. One day I had it, and cried to GOD please tell me why this man is so hateful and cannot show love. I was becomming a hollow shell of a person, losing who I once was.

So I prayed and asked...If I left would you hold this against me Father?

He answered me in a dream just before I woke.

"What does righteousness have to do with unrighteousness? I am not for unyoked marriages and never was!"

I'm surprised you fuss about heaven and hell so much as there are no such judgments for the chosen in the OT.
Clearly you are an OT follower, and not a NT follower for you focus on the ritualistic and mechanistic nature of religion based on fear and not the true emotional desire to improve oneself and ones surroundings to be shared for the love of a loving god. For you, and those like you it's far more important to have the appearance of piety and adherance to rules and ritual than the actual intent to overcome human limitations and seek the heart and intent of god.
No deity worth the name would intentionally create a line in order to simply destroy that which is not at least enjoined in a dialogue when earnestly requested.

Probably anyone who self-identifies as a "Christian" will go to hell.

Jesus warned against hypocrites, and those who would come in later days saying that He was Lord, casting out demons in His name, healing the sick in His name etc.

Jesus warned that these hypocrites would have no share in the Kingdom of heaven.

Re: Are divorced Christians condemned to hell?
In Canaan, prior to Ivrahiim (Abraham) moving
there from Mesopotamia, they worshiped
multiple Gods including a male deity
name EL and his wife God named Asharah.

When Ivrahiim came to Canaan, he changed
the name of EL (L) to YHWH or Yahweh for his
own benefit.

so through Ivrahiim, EL divorced Asharah
and became Yahweh, the single God.

God's wife Asharah is where Ivrahiim's
wife's name came from. Sarah.

I guess women were considered 2nd class
underlings in Mesopotamia where Ivrahiim
came from. This is what started the Hebrew
tribes and influence in Canaan. Those tribes
who did not agree with the single God
theory that Ivrahiim proposed moved further
east and became Egyptians. This is the link
between Hebrews and Egyptian bloodlines.

In ancient Hebrew, there were no vowels.
So a string of consonants might have
several different meanings, up to 30
in some cases. So nobody really knows
what YHWH stands for. The insertion of
vowels into it to make Yahweh was a
later translation. It was originally
written as YHWH.

EL was written as L
Asharah was written as SHRH

Yes they are. Jesus says anyone who commits any sin is condemned to hell. There is no way out of this. Jesus gives parables of how to overcome going to hell but only very few will be able to achieve this. Jesus did not come to

Few?

God is not much of a farmer of souls if most of what he plants does not grow. Rather incompetent don't you think?

Would you get him to run your farm?

You of course are one of the few. Right?

Gibberish is a good answer for most questions to Christians.
