Re: Are divorced Christians condemned to hell?
If divorced Christians believed in hell, or believed they would go there for it, would they GET divorced?

No.

So why ask?

No, but you have to pay some good cash to let some "priest" tell you you'll be okay. F'ing whores they are.
 Quoting: Fading Lights

Really, what does THIS have to do with anything?

Do you think when you stand before the judgement seat all you have to do is claim that the priests are worse than you, so you're okay?

Priests did not make up the words of Jesus who said that divorce is definitely not okay and keeps one from the Kingdom of God.

And, no priest in the world can tell you that divorce is okay because that goes directly against the teaching of the Catholic Church.

And, if you are truly repentent for divorcing, you can go to Confession and be forgiven. But, no priest can tell you that you are free to remarry because in the eyes of the Church you remain married until one of you dies.

So priests have nothing to do with the answer to this question.

But, I'm sure you feel like you got the bandwagon seal of approval for badmouthing them. Very safe target.

Women marry for money and men marry for lust. Both wrong reasons so if they marry for these reasons they should already be condemned.

Tsk tsk. You sound way too much like I did a while back.
Here is a bit of tough love from someone who agrees completely with you and also has to follow his own advice.

You might have noted that I called their God a prick a few times and yes, I need to watch my mouth as well when I get in a feisty mood.

Now for the tough love. Don't get mad. Get even.

Just bouncing in with an insult to the opposition is a Christian trait and non-believers should try to climb higher than that standard. We are better thinkers and should sound like it.

I try to inform as well as correct and attack from a moral position as Christians have been indoctrinated in dogma and trying to make them think is the only way to move them and the hardest thing you will likely ever attemp.

Your comment just gets a pfft from them and they turn away.

If you would have given them something like this and asked them to try to grow out of it, then you may have made more points.

Check this out my friend. The real interesting part is at the front end.

Now give a Christian this clip and then tell him he should outgrow this natural tendency and you got him.

Give him this to clinch the deal.

Tell the church leaders to go jack off and only admire that you did the righteous thing. You are answering to your own god, very important to remember, They can all fuck off. If you beleieve in a heaven or hell, my take (as Agnostic Theist), is that if you kive a life of good morals (yes they somewhat coincide with the 10 commandments -- but I'd use the basic principles of Humanism as a guide. I'm not sure, but would hope your own "god" of self, could maybe put you in for reincarnation-- The cool think about your own god is, he/she will not hammer you on your bad moves/sins.

My take on this Universal religion, is that to live life to fullest while following the basic principles of humanism. I don't want to go anywhere else, but build a legacy to be followed.

the woman at the well, she recognized her Savior, he said you have seen your Messiah and she believed. the Pharisees brought the woman who was caught in an adulterous relationship, Jesus said I do not condemn you, Go and sin no more.

What is done is done, Accept your salvation and go and sin no more, Salvation is freely given and anyone who accepts it is forgiven. But you must truly believe and that means not wanting to do the things Jesus would not want you to do, out of love for him. If a christian divorces and later realizes it was wrong and truly asks forgiveness it will be forgiven. But it would not be pleasing to our Lord to do it again.

God is full of grace. Jesus paid the price for our sins. We turn to Him with a repentant (repent means to turn around, to agree with God).
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 33459943

I am not quite ready to embrace human sacrifice or the notion that I should try to profit from God having his own son murdered. If your poor morals allow it then by all means, sell your souls to Satan and embrace those immoral concepts.

If your description of repentance is true, which God did God turn around to agree with when he repented in Noah's day as scriptures say he did?

I also ask this following question of another above but it seems appropriate to ask you as well.

If a sacrifice was needed though, I would suggest that a God who loved his son would not send him but would step up himself.

As above so below.

If you decided that a human sacrifice was required, would you step up or would you send a loved son?

I think that sons should bury fathers and not the reverse.

A simple question. Do you agree?

 Quoting: Greatest I am

Please those of you who cannot think, couldn't you are least TRY to think? all this sacrifice shit is shit. God does not behave this way. Your OT GODS are a bunch of ETs and some were graceful and some were not. God doesn't fly around coming to planets like this. The Father is resident as a SPIRIT entity at the center of the creation and he is MIND and his mind indwells all with MINDS. So try using it. the OT is a poorly collected collection of old carried to generation after generation. Human sacrifices are of the evil ones, not the creative force. This thread is stupid.

The genetic father of Jesus was Gabriel. The Father Jesus spoke of, if the one within YOUR MIND that is accessed by Meditation. He did exactly none of the shit in the OT or the NT you give him credit for. Look out there at the massive small portion of the creation that we can see from our telescopes. How does the Father who is found at the center of all things go flying around picking garbage shit arguments on trillions of life bearing planets. When you ones have TRUTH of the cosmos this crap will end.

Grow your souls, for that IS the only "requirement" of the Father and that is only IF you decide to partake of the eternal journey.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 31769448

I agree that the temple of God is the body and that God can only express himself in your mind.

Jesus also agrees in this clip at about the 2 min mark.

OK, if you came here for answers, I'll give you an answer!

Stop worrying and instead have a relationship with Jesus Christ! You are not going to Hell just because you divorced. I don't know any pastor that believes that. Any garbage spouted about that's what the OP thinks is irrelevant because the OP is not God.

If you're that worried, talk to your pastor, not some moron pretending to be a spiritual teacher, but actually a person of dubious reputation and seems to be anally fixed like the OP.

Literally four or more times, he's talking about shoving your head up the rectum of God. Does that sound like a credible spritual teacher? Hell no!

Y'all are so silly. The things you dream up. The things you worry about.

How can we know? What can you possibly do to second guess God?

Why not instead believe in Jesus with all your heart, mind, your strength? Love your neighbor as yourself. Avoid sin and ask for forgiveness. Feed His sheep and tend His lambs. Do the things he specifically asked Christians to do in Matthew 25.

Live now, this is the only Earthly life and stop concentraing on the next one. Leave that to YHWH.

There's only one unforgiveable sin, the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12). Avoid doing that.

Spend 99 % of your time on these things. They should be filling up your hours.

You have a point. We should all concentrate on what we are for.

Many Christians do just that. Have a look at what they are for.

It is my view that all literalists and fundamentals hurt all of us who are moral religionists as well as those who do not believe. They all hurt their parent religions and everyone else who has a belief or not. They make us all into laughing stocks and should rethink their position. There is a Godhead but not the God of talking animals, genocidal floods and retribution. Beliefs in fantasy, miracles and magic are evil.

Just because your version of the bible might say that does not mean it is true. Hell simply cannot exist if God is the greatest source of love in the universe. It is logically impossible, and last time I checked Deity was supposed to be rational since God is the ultimate source of perfection. If a person has no survival value, they do not survive death. But this is for a normal planet that did not have to suffer at the hands of the Lucifer Rebellion. Normally, representatives of the local universe administration from On High are going to be helping man in the flesh. Since this planet was/is in rebellion status and had the Adamic default, there is more leeway when it comes to spiritual ignorance (most survive death, get educated and then make their eternal decision to either make the ascension journey or cease to exist, and that can still be postponed for other reasons).

God is not going to let his children die if they were not in a situation that facilitated proper soul growth.

Just for the record:

In Luke 16:18 Jesus taught, "Whosoever putteth away his wife and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery."

and according to I CORINTHIANS 6:9-11:

ADULTERERS SHALL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27253156

There's always some evil person trying to condemn others into Hell. They focus on one sin, and make themselves puffed up with pride and they cherry pick which sins are the ones for burning people. How silly!

Laugh at them. They hate that.

Remove the log from your eye, you sinner, and then pick the speck from your brother's eye!

These kinds of folks, they actually serve Satan, not God. God forgives you your sins if you ask God to.

Who among us has not sinned? If sinning automatically resuled in eternal death, then none of us would be saved!

Grace alone is why we are saved. Grace because of the death of Jesus upon the cross. You can't earn it. You're not able to stop sinning.

Stop focusing on sin. That's what Satan does, for Satan is the accuser.

When you sin, ask for forgiveness instead. It couldn't be more simpler! Jesus saves!

Almost, any sin but the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.
"32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come." Matthew 12:32

Those false prophets, they're the ones who should fear God with trembling, for they blaspheme against the Holy Spirit daily, and as such, they cannot be forgiven.

For all other sins, if you ask God for forgiveness, then God will make your sin removed as far as East is from the West...i.e. an infinite distance away, for East and West never meet.

Stop worrying and start loving generously with Agape.

Those who preach such evil serve the Lord of Darkness. Look here:

Gnostics say that Satan, that Lucifer is the Liberator! What garbage!

They would teach you to follow the Devil!

What do we learn from Holy Scripture:
"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter." Isaiah 5:20

They twist around everything to suit their evil ways! Gnostic thought would have you feel sympathy for their hero, the Devil!

Re: Are divorced Christians condemned to hell?
You will find all your answers in Jesus' laws which fulfilled Moses' laws, what Christ adapted there is the law, it overrides the Torah as a new Grace despensation was introduced to save us, it overrides all other religions on earth, if you fall out of line according to God's ways as described in the gospels He will remove you from His presence if you don't repent.

It is difficult for all of us as we were all brainwashed over a period of time to understand the wrong concepts, the social disaster is what we have now, the evidence of the mega lie poured out on us.

It so happens, Jesus is God veiled in the flesh He is God and people don't realise. He has a standard and if we go below that we are at great risk.

There are no more saving plans we are crossing over into a new world here on earth the Bible explains it all, you have to prepare your soul for that cross over.

If you are a divorced woman make sure you don't remarry, as woman may not have more than one living husband, that is the law.

Christ becomes the husband for that divorced woman when she rededicates her life to Him, and He keeps your spirit filled with His divine love as you keep your honour, a mistake is a mistake, repent and He will save you.

Any man or woman who gave a promise to marry and withdrew from their promise, i.e. the moment when you give your hearts to each other prior to engagements and marriages, if this promise is broken that man or woman may not give their promise again to another, that is the very strict Christian law they have to remain single, they spoilt their chances.

A person can leave their married spouse if their soul is in danger caused by them, you leave that person to save your soul as you keep God first, God always comes first, not your children nor you husband, not your parents etc.

No one goes to hell if they repent the gospel way, hell was created for Satan and his legions and it is a deterrent used to keep us out of it.

The emphasis is on the childen so they don't get harmed, if a man's wife endangers her children's souls for leading them into a worldly life, he may divorce her and remarry a virgin as the children need to be taken care of and he may increase his family with his new wife.

In Christian laws the husband is the breadwinner and the wife is at home taking care of the children and parents who may be living with them, this ensures no delinguints and old age homes which is the them being abused, living outside these ways puts you at risk of losing your soul.

God's laws cannot be changed by anyone.
